  1. Per the metrics, Mayer may be better than Bregman at 3b. Bregman 972 Inn, 1 DRS, 3 OAA, 3 FRV, 9 E Mayer 248 Inn, 0 DRS, 2 OAA, 2 FRV, 1 E
  2. Donovan and Mayer serve the same purpose both being LHB. I don't see his fit on the roster if Paredes is acquired. Plus, it would get them over the 3rd threshold most likely. I think they just need to decide between Donovan (option B) and Paredes (option A) IMO.
  3. Kinda ruin the premise with the sentence at the end. Spending is up, but it's not up 105M as you seem to suggest.
  4. Ranger hasn't been able to get to Boston due to visa issues. They have a little longer to deal with the 40 man problem as he doesn't need to be added until the physical happens.
  5. I'd think Moran would be DFA'd due to lack of options, but he's one of the few LHP's remaining in the pen.
  6. It's the same for the BoSox. 🫠
  7. I skipped the year because you mentioned it. That year was clearly an anomaly. Other teams need to figure out how to catch up. Andy Pages
  8. They traded for Semien because they want him, not because they want to deal him.
  9. 2025: 1 2023: 1 2022: 1 2021: 1 Where's this secret advantage?
  10. That was remediated somewhat when they adjusted the schedules a few years ago.
  11. Trading Masa should always be on the table, it's just hard to find someone to take him on.
  12. They weren't going to get a FA bat at this point. It was pretty obvious. It's going to have to come from a trade.
  13. I'm saying, your model gives even more of an unfair advantage to the teams in LAD's division.
  14. ... or we can have the NL West teams get a bunch more revenue than other divisions simply by proximity to LAD. Similarly, the AL East teams would see a lot of revenue from playing the Sox and Yankees. Teams in middle America would continue to not really get much.
  15. Paredes has been talked up a bunch, so maybe? I don't believe Marte is available. If Paredes is off the table and the conversation is between Baty and Shaw, I go with Baty. Another guy that people will struggle to spell correctly.
  16. I think they would still do the deal no matter what. Maybe they don't do the Oviedo deal? Maybe they still do both? Hard to say.
  17. If he's the last girl at the dance, fine. I just think there may still be other options that are more attractive that I'd like to fool around with.
  18. Story k's too much for me to want to hit him 2nd.
  19. From MLB.com Upon completion of the trade, Boston and Gray negotiated Gray’s $35 million salary for 2026 to $31 million while increasing the buyout of his $30 million club option for '27 from $5 million to $10 million. Gray also has the ability to opt out of the option if the Red Sox exercise it. A source told MLB.com's Ian Browne that St. Louis is sending the Red Sox $20 million to cover part of Gray’s salary for 2026 and the buyout of his club option. From ESPN.com He had been guaranteed $40 million for the next two seasons: $35 million for 2026 and a $5 million buyout of a $30 million team option for 2027. His contract was changed to guarantee him $41 million: a $31 million salary for next year and a $30 million mutual option for 2027 with a $10 million buyout.
  20. I don't know how well Batty fits at Fenway. Seems like the Mets don't need him anymore. Jett may not help the Sox this year, but the Mets don't need him at all.
  21. Then the Dodgers should refuse to play in low revenue generating venues. Big markets should be able to negotiate their scheduling. Those teams are rewarded by increased attendance down the stretch.
