    Duran has only 5 2b's in 297 PA's since 4/23. Only 1 in 189 PA's since 5/20.

    His bb rate was up and his k rate was down. It's one of those cases where we just have to trust that the people watching the guys behind the scenes are seeing much more of what's going on with a player than what is happening on field. He's been ok, but it's a little bit of a surprising DFA. They must believe that Bello is going to stick in the pen for a while and are going to run out of room out there?

    Please, he's asking for specifics! You know, the things that aren't typically leaked. Seems like a fair demand even though all reporting in the offseason disagree with his current assertion.

    It was fun watching him with the Bowser bat. The crowd was HOT. Can't believe the Sox coach pitched him up and in at the end. Brutal.

    If the Sox want to hold onto the young arms long term, they will need Bello down the stretch to take on a bunch of innings. I'm dubious on the pitching holding up, but we'll see.

    The Astros were willing to deal Paredes. Craig reportedly couldn't get a deal across the table because he was asking for too much because his valuation on Duran was too high. It has been mentioned by local and national reporters. This was discussed over and over last offseason. We don't need to be gaslit here.

    Dude, if you trade a bunch of prospects, it's going to affect how your org is ranked. It's just how it is. It doesn't matter how those prospects perform the following season. You trade a bunch of near MLB arms and the team ranking will go down. This shouldn't be controversial.

    Justin Gonzales has crazy tools, but rocks that super high GB rate that kind of limits Roman Anthony. If Gonzales can keep his exit velo, but add some loft, he'd be better off.

    Witherspoon has shown some recent flashes. He has a solid floor and should definitely start in MLB someday. He didn't pop the way Eyanson did this season, but I don't think his future is really in question.

    I don't want either TBH. The cost for Bichette would be weird because of the opt outs and I think his swing doesn't really work at Fenway.

    The Sox are worse than 1/2 the other teams because they dumped a bunch of their players last offseason and haven't developed any bats recently. DSL players aren't a good bet to succeed as they rarely become top 100 players. The Sox being middle of the road is about as good of a ranking as they're going to get. If you look at POR and WOO, there really isn't a whole lot there except for Eyanson and Arias. Proximity is very important for rankings. Payton Tolle pitched his ass off from day one and had a pitch that was plus plus right away. Can't compare Phillips to him.

    Vlad Jr has had a very roller coaster career when you look at the numbers. I wasn't as all in on a long term deal for him as many others. He'll have more good seasons ahead of him, but TOR moved the walls in for him and he's still having a season like this!
