    The one FA I liked was Woodruff. He's been decent, but isn't generating any whiffs. Not sure if he really wanted to leave the Brew Crew either. Thought the Sox should have gone after Ozuna too as a cheap DH/platoon bat. 😶‍🌫️

    It wasn't a good FA class. I would have liked signing Schwarber back in '22 and then building DH around him from then on. Right now, the roster is a mess and there is an inability to deal with it so signing him didn't make sense.

    If you want a hail mary, it's not to maintain the status quo but to find a huge success. The hail mary to change SS would be to call up Arias not Cheng.

    The Red Sox are 2-11 when Masa starts the game. Duran should be starting instead of Masa.

    Anthony's strike out looking % is 32%, which is a little high, but not Casas high. Seven other players on the Sox have a higher rate than that with Wong leading at 60%! Roman's swinging strike rate is better than league average at 18.6%.

    They don't have the hitters to do it. That's the problem. Most of their best hitters are LHB and they should be all fields at Fenway.

    Cheng is hitting .154 with no XBH after hitting for the cycle. His OPS is going to slowly head back towards 725. There's no help coming from him. I don't think there's anyone at AAA that can really provide an offensive spark. They are more "in case of emergency" types. The two worst batters combining whiff and chase are Story and Duran. I don't know how you go about fixing Duran if he's not getting fulltime at bats. Story is what he is. There really isn't an inhouse replacement for him even if you move him to 2b. Mayer and Anthony have also started off the season slowly. Mayer is to be expected. Anthony may just need a different slot in the lineup. If there was one thing going wrong with the team, it'd be an easy fix. Right now: Crochet is less effective, Gray is out, Bello is his bad version, the bullpen is very weak, Narvaez can't hit fastballs, Story can't do anything, Mayer can't hit, Anthony can't hit or throw, Durbin can't get balls beyond the IF, Duran can't hit and IKF is IKF.

    Maybe even a Sandoval or Kutter 60 day? I believe they've both been shut down. Watson DFA? 😇
