  1. Because the need pitching and we have an excess of it, plus the Ms think he had a "disappointing" rookie season.
  2. Go Bobcats, 3 game winning streak!
  3. Its gotta be the Celtics. My reason is the Celtics have 2 guys that average about 25 PPG with Paul Pierce and Ricky Davis. The Lakers have one guy that averages about 35 PPG with Kobe, even though they have the better coach. Plus the Celtics are in a much weaker divison than the Lakers and on Christmas Day, the Lakers are going down. Plus I think Kobe scoring 62 was a fluke, 22 of his 62 points were on free throws and he shot the ball 31 times. In that game he could have scored a possible 87 points if he had made all his shots and all his free throws. Granted Kobe is a great player, but he should had scored that many shooting the ball 31 times in one game with 25 free throw attempts. He also was the only player on his team in double digits for points and its not like he helped anyone get in double digits with his goose egg number of assists. The fact of the matter is that he's a ball hog and Shaq and the rest off the Heat are gonna lay down a beatdown come Christmas Day.
  4. Yeah, the reason I like Reed so much is because he had a .992 FP with just 3 errors in one of the most spacious baseball parks. Plus he did pretty good hitting in his first full major league season, batting .254 with a .322 OBP, and hitting 33 doubles. The guy is a doubles hitter(great in Fenway off the Monster) and a great defensive CF, that's loaded with talent. Plus we'll have him for 4 or 5 years at 335K unless he's available for Arb.
  5. I like Jeremy Reed alot, he's got a whole bunch of talent and is a great defensive CF, as for SS I would love to somehow get Tejeda, maybe Manny, Clement, and a medicore pitching prospect would clinch it, i dunno that's prolly a long shot. I wouldn't mind seeing either Tony G/Alex G at short with a platoon of Youk/J.T. Snow or Adrian Gonzalez at first.
  6. Alright I went over the top with Pujols and Carpenter, but I still strongly dislike the Cards, but the main reason is La Russa. I think he's a whiny manager and really don't like him. Sorry about Pujols and Carpenter.
  7. It is nothing to them, remember they say they play for the "love of the game", remember "I live for this," huh? Remember that, so if they play for the so-called love of the game, whats an extra 12 million when you're already making 40 million to play a game where the people and players love you already? No instead he took the money and ran to our long time rivals, to be in the spot-light. 12 million dollars is nothing to those big-time players.
  8. I say sign J.T. Snow to platoon with Youk at first base, Snow has won four Gold Gloves, and now that we have the money we should sign him to a two-year deal or something. Next we need to try to trade Clement to Seattle for Jeremy Reed, the guy is a great defensive CF, and he's got talent. I don't care if we have to take on some of Clement's salary, but don't get ripped off. Then we spin Nixon to a team for a 5th starter/Bullpen guy to get rid of his salary and sign Rondell White to a 2 year, incentive laden deal to play RF for us. Manny is still playing LF whether he likes it or not. Then we spin Wells to the Pads for Linebrink/Roberts(If we can't get Snow, the instead of Roberts put Gonzalez). Then we go after Tony G/Alex G(doesn't matter to me) very aggresively, So the 2006 Sox line up will be; Reed Loretta Ortiz Manny Lowell White Tek Youk/Snow or Gonzalez Alex G/Tony G still pretty good
  9. What a stab in the back, Damon was saying how he was Red Sox for life and how much he wanted to get a deal done here, I mean what's the difference, 3 million dollars a year? 3 million! What's the difference bewteen 10 million a year and 13 million a year? Come on, what a back stabber.
  10. Yes, I love a Wells for Young/Gonzalez deal, although that prolly won't happen, Young had a great 2nd year season,(12-7 with a 4.26 ERA)even thoughhe was on a team with a great offense, but if he comes to Boston that won't really change...and Gonzalez would solve our platoon position problem. Plus we free up money and it makes Clement.Arroyo more expendable(hopefully Clement),but I still love that trade.
  11. Steve Smith, Julius Peppers, Shaun Alexander, Walter Payton(gotta go with some old school), LT.
  12. I hate the Cards, I hope they don't get Crisp and go 67-95 next season with Carpender and Pujols going on the DL for the whole season.
  13. Then what happens when we groom Pedrioa to be a 2b of the future, but we already have a multi-year starter 2b with Tony G, are we now going to have Pedrioa play SS?
  14. Yeah but how would we bring either Tejada or OC to Boston, what would it take?
  15. I wouldn't want Mike Morse on the Red Sox, the guy told the commission he was using steriods and that their system failed.
  16. Lol, Happens to the best of us.
  17. MLB: Red Sox NHL: Hurricanes NBA: Grizzles NFL: Bengals NCAA: UNC baby!
  18. I don't think we need a big bat SS now, although Tejada be nice, since we have Loretta now, who can be a great 2 hitter, we need a SS that is great with the leather.
  19. You would rather deal Arroyo instead of Clement? True Clement is probably the better pitcher, but Arroyo would be much willing to pitch from the bullpen or be the 6th starter, unlike Clement, and possibly if we could get rid of his salary, we'd save about 16 million.
  20. Haha, the White Sox would kill them.
  21. True dat.
  22. I'd rather trade Clement than Arroyo.
  23. Coco Crisp: Close to Going to Boston RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com Saturday, December 17, 2005 Update: Crisp is close to being dealt to Boston, the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune reports. Recommendation: Cleveland would receive Guillermo Mota and Andy Marte for giving up Crisp. The deal is apparently contingent on the Tribe landing Nomar Garciaparra to play right field, although it could be done either way. This is pure speculation at this point, but we'll keep you posted Bronson Arroyo: Could be Traded to Mariners RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com Saturday, December 17, 2005 Update: Arroyo could be traded to the Mariners for Jeremy Reed if the Red Sox do not re-sign Johnny Damon, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports. Recommendation: The Mariners had originally inquired about Matt Clement, but with their signing of Jarrod Washburn apparently imminent, the team can now only afford Arroyo. Either way, giving up on Reed after 500 at-bats, seems premature. Arroyo saw his K/9 drop by nearly three last season. Reed would fit well defensively in Fenway Park This is kinda weird, getting a CF and a LF, what does this mean for Damon, Manny, and Trot, if all these guys start, only one of them is going to be back in 2006
  24. Something about the Os offering Damon a 6 year deal http://www.nypost.com/sports/58861.htm
  25. I don't no if anyone posted this, seems late Tejada still wants out http://redsox.bostonherald.com/redSox/view.bg?articleid=117341
