No this is exactly like the Barry Zito dilemma, because he'll get we he wants because there are alot of other teams interest in him, and besides we'd have to give up way to much on a guy that's had 1 great season.

If we do keep Youkilis as our starting 1b, I would much rather see him platoon with a lefty, like Adrian Gonzalez for Shoppach, I mean come on Gonzalez is a 23 year old 1st Round Pick with great talent, and all we have to do is give up a catcher that went 0-11 last year with 5 Ks, as I stated before, if we keep Youkilis, it should be a platoon position.

Since the Blue Jays have gotten Lyle Overbay (for what its worth), they are interested in trading either Eric Hinske(1b) or Shea Hillenbrand(3b), I was wondering if a Youk trade could be worked out for either one of these players, to be our 1b, they are both very good young players. Any thoughts?

Encarnation has only had 1 great year and that was last year, besides the fact that he doesn't even play LF, a better, cheaper alternative would be (I know no one here has heard of him) Rondell White, he can give you .290, 20 HRs, 70 RBIs, with above average defense.

i definately think the sox should go after this trade, and i also think the angels still want manny, i just think we wanted too much...what i think we should do is spin manny to the angels for erstad, 1 great prospect, and them to pay the rest of manny's contract,(we would pay erstads), then we take that one great prospect, and add marte to it, and vouch to pay about 80%-85% of tejada's contract(roughy about 38.4-40.8 million over 4 years, bout 9.6-10.2 million a year) thats pretty fair as well, because we shave 20 million of the free agent market, minus tejada's 10.2(at the most) gives us 9.8 more million to resign damon with, plus the money we save from renteria's contract, and the 25 million we already had to spend, this gives us roughy 42.1 million dollars for free agents...we could give damon his 4 year/40 million and have 32.1 million left, then i say we should sign Rondell White as a LF for 3 years/12 million and 28.1 million, then we trade nixon to AZ for Chad Tracey(to fill starting RF, and he can also play LF and 1b, and if needed 3b), but we pay a part of nixon's 7.5 million contract, roughy about 3 million, which gives us about 25.1 million left for places we need to strengthen up, this would be a great, hardworking, clutch player lineup with 3 gold glovers at positions. damon loretta tejada ortiz lowell tracey tek white erstad pretty good eh? any comments?

I also stated that we would take 80% of Tejada's salary, which has 4 years/48 million remaining on it, if we take 80% of that it is 38.4 million, thats how much the O's save, 38.4 million dollars, 2 top prospects and 38.4 million sounds like a fair trade to me
