  1. Sure, Fisk72, anything to make sure that the DESERVED player gets it.
  2. End of the 8th inning... cue 50% of Rangers fans walking out of the park.
  3. Yeah, I know.... I probably should have asked first, but I forgot. My bad. I usually ask before I put things on there. (got it from your sig) :looks down embarrassingly: And that page will be updated soon, sorry.... I've been in Arlington (TX) watching the Sox.
  4. It would be nice for the game... but everyone else is right, it would take too much time and slow down the game even more. I was behind the Sox dugout along with tons of other Sox fans and Bellhorn just passed us up! What's up with that? Actually, I'm just kidding... it was actually like 95 degrees outside and a majority of the Sox were taking BP inside so it's explainable why he was headed inside.
  5. I have a great feeling about tonight.... if Chan Ho Park has given up an average of 5.50 runs per game, and he's up against our offense we should put up a good amount of runs. Key word there, "should".
  6. I knew we traveled well, but I wasn't sure how well it was going to be here in Texas. Turns out, the cheers were louder for the Sox than for the Rangers. Man, after Manny hit that grand slam the place just went into a frenzy.
  7. [Edit: My mistake, mods can delete the thread. I see it now on the rumor mill, even though ESPN reports that this is official now.] Pardon me if this has been discussed already, I've been in Arlington (TX) watching the Sox take yesterday's game from the Rangers, and I just turn on ESPN to hear that when Schilling comes back it will only be in THE BULLPEN? True or not?
  8. Just got back from this (yesterday's) game, all I need to tell you is that the Sox were very well represented and "Let's Go Red Sox!" was echoed throughout Ameriquest Field LOUDLY every inning.
  9. If I see him on Tuesday walking around on the field or something while I'm in Arlington for the Sox/Rangers game, does anybody have something that they would like me to yell at him for them?
  10. You seem like a very honest person, AgentAnni008.... everyone here will believe that you know him. Since Mantei is out and I'm getting a chance to go to the game in Texas Tuesday, hopefully he'll get to pitch some relief innings.
  11. Welcome to the site, man. I didn't have a chance to go down to the Cape while I was up there, but I imagine it's really nice this part of the year.
  12. Geez, yeah I'd say having another team put 15 runs on you won't help out any. And actually I believe Boston's ERA when you start the game threads is right at 10.
  13. I'm still learning more and more about the Celtics, so the main reason the C's would pass on Pierce for this coming season would be because of money, correct? I mean, the guy averaged 22 PPG in '04-'05.
  14. Wow, haven't read that. You have a link, gambit?
  15. How are things going up there in Maine, Gambit?
  16. I don't think 'King George' expects too much, I mean it's a $208M team that hasn't won a World Series since 2000 and just got done being beat in four straight games by your rivaled team in the postseason. All the statements is getting a little ridiculous from Steinbrenner, but you should expect to win.
  17. I was just about to PM (private message) you and say welcome. Also a Sox fan that's located pretty far from Boston, here. Hope you enjoy your stay here on talksox, and if you don't mind me asking, who's your friend in the Boston farm system?
  18. ^ Ding, ding, ding... we have a winner. You think it's tough being a Yankees fan and dealing with Sox fans? I can't imagine how you'd feel if your team finished behind our guys for the next 9 years in the AL East and we dominated you in the playoffs.
  19. Oh, yeah... forgot to be a nice guy and remind you to enjoy the rest of the season. http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2004/10/21/1098334941_6607.jpg
  20. P.S. ARod2212, your post on the individual game forum is why you are treated bad. Stop yah crying about how you're treated because no one cares if it 'pisses you off to no end' if you want to keep ripping our team and fan base.
  21. Don't try to be a tough guy because you're fed up with the way you think you're treated over here. This is why you are treated badly, take your loss like a man and take my other thread about you as a joke. http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/AP_Photo/2004/10/21/1098359287_3585.jpg
  22. You didn't have to respond to this thread, but I guess when Sox fans have a thread about the Yankees and some Yankee fan sticks up for their team and then takes a shot at the Sox while they're making a post then you get some criticism. I don't think I've taken any personal shots at you ARod2212, and you seem like a good guy but that avatar and maybe a couple comments may have made you feel unwelcome. Bam-Tino, I've tried to explain to you that it's more the other Yankee fans that came over here the same time you did is my problem. Also, ARod2212, nice xanga site you run there, have one as well. Yankee fans, don't confuse disrespect from our side with us trying to treat you as best as possible. You're Yankee fans, everything that 99% of Sox fans have grown up hating, your fan base has rubbed everything in our faces for the last 50+ years so when we finally have our year, expect us to get back at you. Don't take it personally.
  23. Is this what it feels like to be a Yankees fan everyday?
  24. Now that you say that, I'm really curious as to what the lineup is looking like right now. 2 OFers out, our catcher out, and our SS out. So that means, wow okay I had to go back and look at the gameday to see the changes. Nixon comes into the game and goes to RF, Vasquez pinch hits and goes to SS, Payton goes from RF to CF, Millar goes from 1B to LF and Olerud takes his spot at 1B. Geez, I blame this all on Shaughnessy with his prediction of us to win the division by 10 games.
  25. Actually, I just say the Nationals because in the dugout they seem like a team the most similar to the Sox. They are a pretty loose bunch of guys, and Damon would fit in there.
