  1. What are you even doing over here YANKEESRULE? We give you the 'Fights & Crap' section as well as the 'General Baseball Talk' section, isn't that enough? Run along now while real baseball fans talk here. Thanks.
  2. To be honest, I still think it's amazing that we swept Cleveland the first time around. We need to win tonight setting us up with a better matchup on Wednesday afternoon -- Scott Elarton (4-2, 4.76 ERA) v. Wake (6-6, 4.05 ERA). Hopefully our bats can come through for us.
  3. Why is pitching being discussed? I was watching Comcast Sports for the Orioles game yesterday and they were bringing up AGAIN the fact that Schmidt (sp?) could be coming to Boston. Why? I've been watching every game possible this year (probably about 90% of them) and I don't know why we would consider bringing in another pitcher. We already have one too many.
  4. Sounds about right. The average age here is fairly young, I'd guess the average age would be somewhere around 18 or 19. That would be my best guess, atleast. Welcome to the site.
  5. Final lines & thoughts on this game before we put it to rest: Cleveland Guardians IP H R ER SO/BB HR BF G/F PC GSc 06/27 B.Arroyo..... 6.2 6 7 5 4/3 2 30 6/9 107 39 L 06/27 J.Halama..... 2.1 2 0 0 3/1 0 11 2/2 42 - It was definitely a different outing compared to last time out when Bronson pitched in Cleveland. In that game he only allowed 4 hits and 1 run. This time, well, when it came down to it, the 2 HR and two extra walks compared to last time were key. Halama wasn't perfect either, but it was definitely an improvement from his outing on 6/21 in Cleveland when he gave up 3 hits and 1 ER in 1 IP. Wade Miller is on the mound for us today but just to mention, during his last outing against Cleveland (6/22), Miller went 5 IP giving up 1 ER (2 R) with 4 K and 3 BB. He finished the game with a n/d after Embree gave up 2 ER.
  6. That is very true... and I shouldn't take my anger that Bellhorn causes me out on the team.
  7. The right field roof seats are extremely nice (haven't seen what they're like during a game, though). The thing to me it seems that after going to Fenway every other ballpark I go to can't compare. Unless you catch a game at Wrigley or possibly Yankee Stadium (haven't been to either), I'd say it'll be a letdown. I went to a Nationals/Rangers game here in Texas last week and am going to see the Sox when they come down this weekend and though I will have a good time, nothing compares to the Fens.
  8. Looking back now, I really don't know where I stand on this. I really don't want to look back on history to determine this year because that would point directly to the Yankees winning the division. Maybe I shouldn't say they're out of it RIGHT NOW, but until they prove something to me this year, I still don't think they will win the division.
  9. I take back some of the things I've said about Bellhorn in the last few hours, during and after the game... it's just anger from a pretty horrible game. Not much you can do though, over 162 games you are going to have games like this, its going to happen. We'll be back tomorrow.
  10. My point is that's it's premature to make those kinds of statements, it's June. It's a long year... we have a good enough team to win on the road and we proved that we could.
  11. OH MY GOD! Please tell me I didn't just read that.... that is hilarious. And I think you can change that sig of yours now, if you want to keep that ridiculous quote from me, I'll dig up the one you said about how the Red Sox can't win on the road right before the Red Sox swept the road series going 6-0.
  12. Geez, you change avatars as much as Bellhorn strikes out!
  13. He swings over the ball and recently isn't playing the hottest on defense. We surely aren't the Yankees money wise, but we're not poor either... for us to have a 2B that Ks very often and is hitting I believe .228 just isn't acceptable.
  14. What the hell, Blowhorn? I'm going to break something because of you and your damn error that left the Red Sox down 3-0 instead of knotted at zero. Jesus, your crap gets old.
  15. I just had to come back and say: How do you like that Aaron f***ing Boone? Nice 3-pitch strike out, yah jerk. Good stuff from Arroyo, thusfar.
  16. Gambit, sorry I wasn't looking at Sox players. Clement will definitely be there, I just didn't write down his name on my last post.
  17. Bases juiced for juicin' Jason. Way to go Giambi, I give you about as much credit for that hit as I gave you for the 2 HRs in game seven of the 2003 ALCS.... none. I was looking forward to seeing the Yankees go under .500, though.
  18. Scratch that idea, Rivera is coming in.
  19. Yes! Mets get out of inning. Going to the 9th... c'mon Mets, get some run support!
  20. It seems like there isn't very many places that the Sox go where it doesn't seem like a home game. Welcome to the site.
  21. 26-6, I'm pretty sure you're alright here. I don't have any problem with you here, and I don't think anyone else does... I think when you came here at first you said you realize we are a bunch of Red Sox fans and you just wanted to talk baseball. You seem to have some good insight on the game, and I think people realize that. Your sig is a little bit of a slap in the face, but your welcome here by me.... I don't know why people wouldn't welcome you.
  22. That's great. In 854 posts have I ever shown kindness towards the Yankees or their fans? No. But I mean honestly, you are a Red Sox fan located in Boston and your avatar picture is Derek Jeter, how do you sleep at night? I mean, all things evil are represented right there in the 97x80 colored picture. Until that avatar is changed I don't think I can take anything you say seriously anymore. Now go watch YOUR team, they're on ESPN right now.
  23. *claps hands* Well why don't you go be a big girl now and go watch your other rivals that you can't compete with. And then when your done you can go post some more on your Yankee talk threads in the fights and crap section. And BeanTown33, does anyone really need to say anything to you after you bring tons of Yankee fans over here? Do the mods really need to send you a PM saying that trying to even out the number of Sox and Yankee fans here is stupid? I've talked to some other people that post here about you bringing them over here and I can guarantee you that I'm not the only one that doesn't care for it. I'm just the only one who has started a thread about it. But that's alright, I was told that they would all be gone soon enough. P.S. Bringing Yankee fans over here doesn't add diversity, it lowers the average IQ level level of people that post on the site. But if you want to bring say, a Cardinals fan over here (you know -- a fan base with intelligence) that's fine.
  24. Haha, thanks yeszir. I wasn't sure if I was ever going to find out. Maybe now once I send him a PM, I can get an answer on that fantasy league trade.
  25. It not offensive or making anyone upset (the thread about Jeter's HR -- the Tino comment isn't either, the comment fits right in place when it comes to admiring how each player looks great), it's stupid is what it is. You start off with a fine post congratulating Jeter on his first ever career grand slam and it turns into every 3 posts are about how fine Derek Jeter LOOKS. I love other teams and players. The Astros, the A's, the Reds, the Cubs are okay, the Guardians are a fun team to watch, I could go on. As far as players go, I actually made a post about guys from other teams that I love to watch play on my website. And it is a free country, Red Sox fans probably don't like you, Yankee fans I know don't like me... it's the way things are. So as a suggestion, you might want to take your Derek Jeter groupies back over to your site, because as you may have noticed from your 19 page thread full of Yankee "fans", no other Sox fan wants to talk about him.
