  1. I put this one together just quickly, and I was wondering if anyone knows where to find or has a good wallpaper with a couple of Boston's sports teams featured. Mine: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v214/Nomar-follower2k7/fe5d88f9.bmp [Edit: I know it's small on here, but hopefully it's big enough so you can see what it would really look like.]
  2. He should have an impact.... maybe a change of scenery will help bring back up his numbers to his career average.
  3. Depending on how Schil's first few starts from the bullpen go, I have Schilling on my fantasy team and would possibly be willing to trade him.
  4. Your teams still done. I don't care if you get to within 1/2 a game... everything will work out in the end like it should. You guys will fall apart.
  5. Gammons also reported today that one of the reasons Payton was designated for assignment was because Francona and Payton had a verbal argument after last night's game was over on how Francona lets Olerud play and not him. Gammons is a pretty good source, as well.
  6. Have to give credit to the umpires... they let the game be played as long as possible. It wasn't their fault, they let the game go on until it was raining too hard and the field was too wet. Sucks that the game was shortened, but nothing you can really do except hit when you know that each AB is extremely important.
  7. Hopefully a new second baseman is on the way.
  8. He's not an idiot, but we shouldn't have sat so many great offensive players in one game if we wanted to win.
  9. It's officially over according Jerry Trupiano and WEEI, the game has been called. 3-1 loss to the Orioles.
  10. WEEI is saying that the game is only in a rain delay, so apparently the game can start up again... hopefully that's the case.
  11. Schilling's outing: Schil faced 6 hitters while throwing 14 pitches in 1 IP, giving up 2 R only 1 was an ER and that unearned run scored because of an error on the shortstop (I believe it was the SS -- if not, it was the second baseman). The ER scored on a triple to right field, scoring the guy from first... don't know how he got on first because my audio cut out, sorry.
  12. Yeah, JetersWifey, you have an 80% of rain tonight.... it's a good chance that you'll get a lot of rain.
  13. Schil hasn't come in yet, but Perez is taking some heat. A balk, a HR and a BB and now the crowd is becoming restless. If he ever gets out of this, Schil will be in for the 9th. Here's what it looks like in Baltimore, BTW: http://image.weather.com/web/radar/us_dca_closeradar_medium_usen.jpg
  14. I'm not sure if it's officially delayed because as soon as it was, I turned off WEEI and muted ESPN so I could listen to the PawSox, but I believe since it was past the 5th inning, the game was called. No offical word that I've heard, though.
  15. Geez, I can't listen to the Pawtucket game now for some reason.
  16. Damnit, every other Sox fan has the same idea I do because it's taking forever to get the PawSox game radio opened.
  17. Curt Schilling has stopped warming in the PawSox bullpen is now ready as soon as the 9th inning starts. His previous two AAA Pawtucket starts courtesy of my 2005 Red Sox Pitching Report: H/A IP H R ER SO/BB HR BF G/F PC GSc 06/29 C.Schilling.. A 5.0 5 1 1 3/1 0 21 8/4 - 55* 07/04 C.Schilling.. H 5.0 8 5 5 8/2 1 25 2/5 92 37 L* * for Pawtucket
  18. All my posts are in response to Yankee fans. I know you guys think I post too much about New York.
  19. The game is 3-1 Pawtucket in the 8th and Schilling will be coming in for the 9th inning.
  20. We just did run out of time. Game's called, Sox lose (I believe). For all that want to listen to Curt Schilling's outing, he's warming in the bullpen right now so here's the link: http://www.pawsox.com/. On the lime green banner on the left side there is something that says 'listen live' so those of you watching ESPN don't have to listen to bonus coverage of the Yankees on YES.
  21. Damnit, JetersWifey.... because of you my 1,000 post was '2-1, Orioles in the 6th'.... I was planning on making an awesome post for number 1,000.
  22. Yeah, 7 seconds is just my guess.... but it's around somewhere around there. Does anyone else with MLB radio have that problem when watching the game on television and listening online? Damnit, O's take a 3-1 lead on a Sosa base hit off the end of the bat right through the middle bringing in Tejada.
  23. Damnit, we're going to get ESPN's coverage now.... back to listening to the 7 second WEEI delay while muting the television.
