Sox fan in Tex

Johan Santana (7-3, 3.45 ERA) should take the mound as well for the AL, Mark Buehrle for the White Sox is 9-1 with a 2.48 ERA... he should easily be there. Possibly Bartolo Colon of the Angels (9-4, 2.99 ERA) could be there. Some others, Roy Halladay should definitely be there since he's posted 11 wins (4 losses) to go along with an amazing 2.51 ERA. What else.... I don't think Mussina's 8-5, 3.95 ERA will get him there, Cliff Lee of the Guardians has a shot (8-3, 3.28 ERA). There's probably someone I left off from other teams besides the Sox.

The Sox also had a talented team when they came back from 3-0. I'll say it again, they're old and run down and through 74 games they are playing .500 baseball. They have no team chemistry, an owner keeps threatening anyone and everyone, how can they make a run?

I just haven't yet figured out why no one else has read that except for BeanTown33 who followed by posting a picture of A-Rod and Jeter together. I'm just wondering if talksox.com is really the place for female Yankee fans to come and post pictures of what has represented Yankee dominance for so long. So if everyone can agree that this website is for that and doesn't mind looking at pictures of Jeter followed by thoughts of "he's so hot" then you're welcome here. But I don't know if Sox fans like seeing that.

It's tough to be rabid and disrespectful when your team sucks. Up 3-0 in the ALCS after winning your whatever number division in a row and I guarantee ALL Yankee fans act like jackasses. Also, I don't think this is the right place to come so you can make a few posts then advertise your website.

I just think it's extremely funny. Before the year even started people were talking about how it would be another year of Yankee dominance. Now we all see that it is an old, run-down team that couldn't win a series against a below .500 team if their life depended on it.

I forgot who it was that said they were going to post what each headline said (I think it was RedSoxRooter) from the New York papers from today since Pedro beat the Yankees, but has anyone seen anything? Just curious... it should be even greater tomorrow now that the Mets have taken the series.

Everyone realizes they are the Yankees, but you have to acknowledge just how many teams out there in the AL are better than New York. So there goes their AL Wild Card chances. Then as far as the AL East goes, that maybe their only shot... they could start winning some games and pull a little closer, but when it comes down to it I don't think they are capable of beating Boston or Baltimore. "No..they're done...I hope they suck just as bad in 2006".

The Yankees will most likely eventually go on a streak, all we need to do is make sure that we continue to take series, especially against them. Taking 3 of 4 or a sweep would be extremely nice the first series after the All-Star break. [edit: 3 of 4, not 2 of 3]

Yeah, I know tek, but the thing is the game is blacked out on MLB.tv also I believe. I did that thing two years ago that your talking about where you can listen to the game online for a pretty good price... I think I may subscribe back to that so in these instances I can listen to the game when it's blacked out.

Our players still need to win tomorrow (atleast I'd rather win tomorrow that Sunday if I had the choice) so we can take two of three and go for the sweep. It's a long year... as long as we continue hitting well against our opponents (especially AL East teams) and pitching can hold up for the rest of the time that Schilling is out, we'll be fantastic.

Just expressing my opinion about Jeter and the Yankees, that is all. So when the Yankees finally win another game I'd like to see a response on here from one of them (or Beantown33 who is also a Yankee and probably invited them all) as to why they pick our fights & crap section of talksox to talk about Derek when the YES boards are one click away.

It's not getting full of ourselves, you know what it's about? All of a sudden we have tons of Yankee fans that feel that this is their place to come and talk about Derek Jeter and his accomplishments, and post pictures of his ass and then talk about it. It's sick is what it is. Why they choose to? I don't know. So if someone would like to give me a further explanation as to why they all of a sudden popped up tell me.

Let me include the Brewers, I forgot about them. Alright if we add in the MIGHTY Brew Crew (33-39) to that equation with the D-Rays, Mets and Royals the Yanks would be 6-14 against those four teams.

I was just wondering when your "captain" is going to rally so we (the Red Sox) could have some competition again. I know you enjoy getting beat by your intercity rival and the Devil Rays but let's get it going here. I'm sure hereing "Let's go Mets!" echoing throughout Yankee Stadium because your fans are cheap and leave in the 7th inning when your down by three is fun and all, but stop embarrassing the AL East and leaving it up to DADDY and Baltimore to show how AL East teams are supposed to play. P.S. Of note: the kansas city royals (25-46), new york mets (36-37) & tampa bay devil rays (26-48) in head-to-head games against you are a combined 12-5. Great team leading, Derek.
