  1. Because SOME of you feel the need to question starting Clement, let me give you a few numbers. And next time, think before you post. Clement all-time vs. Chicago: 32 IP, W-L 2-1, 5.34 ERA. Now, Clement at US Cellular Field: 3.86 ERA in 21 IP to go along with a K/9 of 8.31 and a BAA of .215. This guy was huge for us this year and because of a bad game he sucks? Management made the right decision to start Clement instead of Arroyo... it's no contest.
  2. Also: Riverside, I write up a preview for the games on my website, where do you find the batter vs. pitcher information? MLB.com or what?
  3. Jesus #$%^&*!@#%$* C'mon guys! Get your act together and get a win.
  4. Texans are hanging in there so far. Tied at three in Cincinnati in the 2nd.
  5. some finals of interest: MICHIGAN 34 v. (11) second tier university 31 -- Overtime (2) texas 51 v. Mizzou 20 (10) Tennessee 27 v. Mississippi 10 Maryland 45 v. (19) Virginia 33 (21) BOSTON COLLEGE 38 v. Ball State 0
  6. "Wow!" I'm trying to think if there was a better game this year. Just the fact of how important this one was and to come through like this is huge. Bring on the Yankees! Bring on the entire world!
  7. Thanks, Manjenson. I think we all like the Marlins here. http://www.4to1.com/images/344px/Baseball/mlb.marlins_win2.jpg
  8. Welcome. And to answer your question, here is a listing I believe of the players that are eligible: http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/team/roster_40man.jsp?c_id=bos
  9. And maybe once in a while, they "Steroid Only League" could play a few games against the regular Major League Baseball teams. http://us.movies1.yimg.com/movies.yahoo.com/images/hv/photo/movie_pix/paramount_pictures/the_longest_yard/_group_photos/adam_sandler2.jpg
  10. I agree with Schil. I'd rather have us face New York in Yankee Stadium, just because of the fact that we've seen so much of New York that we have more of a chance. Also for what it's worth, I still think Cleveland is better than the Yanks.
  11. I'd try to help you Pats fans out by bashing the Steelers and giving some positive, but my boys from Houston received a BEATING last weekend.
  12. Make sure you have Giambi, Sheffield and Palmeiro join.

  14. This is embarrassing. The Texans make me sick to my stomach the way they have played in week one and week two. I don't know how I even thought that they had a shot against Big Ben as well as the Steelers fantastic defense. I'll still believe in their playoff hopes because I'll never quit on a team, but they've played as bad as possible.
  15. Yep, that would be it, stocker.
  16. Sounds kind of like an autoglass commercial that WEEI runs during the games.
  17. Fightin' Texas Aggies 66 v. SMU Mustangs 8 And Texas A&M will double that at the end of November against Vince Young and texas.
  18. Welcome. I'll try not to go off on you, but the Yankee fan base on talksox multiplies by the day. For what reason, I don't know. But when New York isn't in the playoffs everything will then be fine with me.
  19. The East will still go to the Sox. You can't expect the Red Sox to win every game vs. a major opponent, and you can't expect the Yankees to lose 'em all against teams like Tampa.
  20. Look at this Red Sox team. I'm pretty sure Sox fans have some right to be cocky. I'd prefer the term "extremely confident" myself, though. It honestly won't come down to a tiebreaker, though... sorry Yankees.
  21. 26-6, you can not compare the 2004 Sox during the regular season to the Yankees during the 2005 regular season at all. The 2004 Sox advancing to the World Series after they won the Wild Card was not a surprise to anyone. Our pitching staff and offense was great and everyone knew that. I think this year if the Yanks made the playoffs and advanced further than the ALCS, it would be a major surprise.
  22. Looks like the Yankee bandwagon is back to near full load.
  23. Front page picture on the football section of ESPN.com: http://espn-att.starwave.com/media/nfl/2005/0911/photo/a_johnson_412.jpg Off and Running It's time for a full Sunday of games. In early action, the Chiefs beat up the Jets 27-7, while the Saints beat the Panthers 23-20 on a late FG. Follow the action in PrimeTime HQ.
  24. It's great to see New Orleans get the win, and Carolina fans showing class towards the Saints. http://espn-i.starwave.com/media/apphoto/NCCB10409111654.jpg
  25. So RedRuffing, I'd like to laugh some more. You told me that Eli Manning could only get better (obviously)... so do you think he'll have a great season?
