  1. The other question is... will Lugo still be the starting SS?
  2. Which ever team gets the single best player in these deals usually is better off. Johan is a better pitcher now and most likely in the future. Maybe he's a little older (but not much). I say do it.
  3. I started my fanhood in 1986. After some time I thought I might never see a Championship. Now 2... Thank you to everyone in the Boston Red Sox organization!
  4. Army screwed me with not kicking the FG. Idiots needed 2 scores anyway. Why go for it on 4th down in that situation? They screwed me out of $160... Then Kentucky vs. Florida - They decide to just not kick the extra point and that cost me another $250. I know I know gambling... but come the f*** on man. They decided to just not kick the PAT? Did the coach bet against his own team and new the spread?
  5. Does Becket get any innings game 7?
  6. With our payroll we should make the play-offs every year. If we make the play-offs and our highest paid player can't put out then whats the point?
  7. I'm really happy and excited about that BOMB, but I'm also pissed OFF... I went to place a bet for $10 that Manny would hit the HR. It was a +1123 which would have won me $112 or so. I only had 9 dollars in my bodog account, the problem is that I won my last bet which should have gotten me $8 into my account, giving me enough for the bet. The only problem was that BODOG took too long to get the money available for me. So nothing... At least I won the $240 on the game. OK RANT OVER
  8. Does anyone have any pictures inside the park? I was there and I didn't have a camera. It was my sons first game and I was hoping you might of gotten us in the celebration after the game.
  9. I was at Fenway on Friday night. I brought my 4 year old son to his first game. WOW what a night. It took us 1:45 to drive in (that usually take 30 mins). The stupid asses that run the tolls need to look at sports schedules and realize it's Friday night and people are going into the City for fun/Red Sox ect. Can't believe that. Then everything changed.... We found free parking 5 minutes from the park, we had standing room tickets, but found some great seats, then meet and got a signed ball from Sam Horn, then the sox won 5-2. We where gonig to leave and I thought "maybe they'll put the game on the Jumbo". My son is 4 and I had to realize that my wife might get angry keeping him in Boston all night, but I thought this could be an amazing memory for him and me. So we stayed. We all know what happened next, we had a small cheering crew up on the RF Roof Deck (the tables) surrounding my little man telling him he was the good luck charm ect. He thought he won the AL Title all by himself. We ran down the RF wall half way between the poll and the bullpen. Coco, Mike Lowell, Cora, and Papi came down the line to slap us a HUGE 5. Big Pappi missed slapping my son 5 so he stopped and went back to give him a SUPER 5. The guys where going crazy, the fans where going crazy, and to think all of those people that left the game. Thats why I drive in vs. the T. What a 1st game for my little man. I only wish I had a camera with me. If anyone has some pictures of the RF area during the Celebration. I was wearnig a Patriots home jersey (Brady). Which is now my lucky shirt.
  10. Your right I was just emotional... It is really great to see Lester pitching so well.
  11. How cool would it be to put out a audio book of the dug out and bull pen chatter. Not just the baseball talk, but all the stuff they are talking about while they sit around.
  12. There are only a couple of teams that have done so, but name the teams that have rebuilt their teams without making a big move like this.... I know it's hard. That is why I love this move. Rebuilding doesn't work 97% of the time. I believe that this move does not only help us now, but in the future as well. Good players normally don't want to come to bad teams. We have a real chance at good free agents now and in the future. The Boston Celtics will be a good team for the next 10 years at least. Bandwagon jumping NO. People that used to like the Celtics and gave up on them. I can't blame them. I gave up on them too, I still watched, but did indeed gave up. They sucked. It's so good to know that not only will we be good for a long time, but that we will get back those lost fans from the past to support OUR Boston Celtics.
  13. I'd like to say that I am poor. I run a Teen Center, have 3 kids of my own, and struggle to pay the bills. Each year since I was a kid I manage to get to at least 10 Celtics game per year. 3 or which I get free via the Celtics in which I bring 24 people to a game and meet a player ect. I sure hope we can still get those free tickets. I'm so happy for people that didn't give up on the Celtics. I do understand why people stopped watching the games. The NBA as a hole has not been all that great. I watch about 70 games per year on TV, but I rarely saw the 4th quarter. Blah Blah Blah, it's late and I'm excited!!! Ray Allen is and has been my favorite player. KG has been a player that I've thought is top 3 in the NBA for awhle and now they are on our team. It should be a fun year.
