  1. The question is: Do we want to play Indy in the second round? I'd prefer the Colts in the third, instead.
  2. Let's Go Motherf***ing Patriots! Beat the Jags!
  3. I wish you guys could only see about how much burnt orange I now see on a daily basis. It's sickening. TUCK FEXAS!
  4. Wow, I must have missed a pretty big typo on my info. On years of fandom, it is supposed to say 'seven years' not three. http://www.talksox.com/index.php?showuser=274
  5. I'm actually wondering about #15: I'd still give the Jays another year or two, but they are certainly making steps in the right direction in taking over the East. It's scary thinking how good the AL East could be in a couple of years, or atleast how tough it could be to win. I haven't heard too much, but even Tampa Bay is making some pretty decent moves this offseason.
  6. Are you joking: Pass up possibly one of the greatest running backs of ALL TIME so we can get help with what, the O-Line? Pick Reggie Bush, then you can either use Bush or Davis to get some help with everything else. There are seven rounds... trust me, the Texans will address their needs. And Soxfan#1: We can make a wager as next season gets closer. I'm thinking the Texans make a run at the playoffs, but with the Jaguars and Colts in the AFC South, it's always tough. It depends how much our offense improves. I think Carr will be a much better QB if his receiving corps can stay healthy (and Reggie Bush in the backfield will help). If the offense can stay on the field longer, that will mean that we won't be last in the league with 431 points allowed against us again. All the puzzle pieces will fall into place.
  7. Texans lose 20-17 in OT at San Francisco locking up the #1 pick in the NFL draft. Hello Reggie Bush. Look out NFL, Houston will be back next year!
  8. It's just too bad that after the Texans lose Sunday, Bush will be in a Houston jersey. Realistically, from what ESPN has been saying, if the Texans win it sounds like the team with three wins that will get Reggie Bush is New Orleans. I forget all the reasons they listed besides SOS, but it sounds like San Fran has a slim shot.
  9. Alright, good. It's nice seeing some more Laker haters. http://www2.thelakerssuck.com:8085/funny_uploads/arrest.jpg
  10. Right now, I think you've got to like the Dodgers and I guess I'll be tuning into a good amount of the games with Nomar on the team.
  11. http://www.nba.com/media/lakers/KobeBryant_300_051220.jpg How insane is that? 30 of the points alone came in the third quarter. What is that, something like two points a minute? The discussion kind of came up on WEEI this morning (when Damon wasn't discussed), so I pose a question: Which team has a better shot at the playoffs or a championship -- the Celtics or Lakers? http://www.nba.com/games/20051220/DALLAL/recap.html
  12. Okay, thinking logically now, ksushi, I just would like a better offseason than New York. That's all. Alright, I think I'm over the initial shock now.
  13. Well, the mood has gone for horrible to signs of hope. Somebody needs to start selling "Screw you, Johnny! And take your money with you!" t-shirts or something like that, haha. Guess I'll be burning my "W.W.J.D.D.?" shirt, soon.
  14. We had an outstanding third baseman in Bill Mueller. You could even say he was the most clutch in the game. It hasn't been a horrible offseason, but here's the point: It's your job to out-do or keep up with the Yankees. It's our move now, make something happen.
  15. 26-6, if I'm a Yankee fan I'm extremely happy regarding this move. You guys are going to be even tougher in 2006, looking at that lineup. Congrats on the pickup.
  16. I'm not laughing. I'm extremely dissapointed. You just have to think that with some of the moves we've made over the last few years, this will only free up money that can be put toward something else.
  17. We shouldn't take this as too much. Damon doesn't need to be beamed in the head. Just imagining the amount of runners that will score from third against New York because Damon has a weak arm seems funny enough to me.
  18. David Carr -- that's right: Represent the 2-12 Texans!
  19. When he is playing in New York and there isn't the atmosphere in the stadium that there is playing in Fenway or the loose feeling in the clubhouse like Boston, Damon will regret it. Alright, Sox, strike back. We will have the better team come 2006. Don't screw anything else up, ownership. YUCK THE FANKEES.
  20. Manny Goes Boom, Question: So after Duke loses at Wake Forest, vs Maryland, vs NC State, at Boston College, at North Carolina, at Maryland and vs North Carolina again at the end of the year are you going to update your sig?
  21. http://i.a.cnn.net/si/2005/baseball/mlb/12/19/bc.bbn.oswalt.bulldozer.ap/t1_oswalt.jpg http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/baseball/mlb/12/19/bc.bbn.oswalt.bulldozer.ap/
  22. It would be stupid for the Texans to take Leinart. The thing you don't realize if you don't watch the Texans on a weekly basis is that David Carr is not that bad. He's not really surrounded by the best O-line to say the least. He's still developing into a good quarterback and with Bush in the backfield that will take a great deal of pressure off Carr.
  23. MLB: Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros NFL: Houston Texans and I enjoy watching the Pats NBA: Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets NHL: Boston Bruins... just started watching hockey, really. NCAA: Any Texas A&M sports. I've grown up loving the school the entire life. And obviously, whatever school i choose to attend in Boston, I'll love (Texas A&M doesn't have a journalism program, what I want to go into).
  24. Thanks for the time, Helmet Man. Without you, we would have been stuck with Kevin Millar ALL the time.
  25. Or just seeing the way texas fans taunt USC, must motivate them. If I played on the Trojan football team and I turned on College Gameday in Austin and saw my team getting boo'd everytime mentioned, turned on the Big XII Championship game and see signs that say "USC, who's your daddy?" and all that other crap that's typical of UT, I'd be motivated. texas fans talk so much trash, they just need to be shut up by Reggie Bush and the entire USC team.
