  1. It seems like Theo isn't satisfied with McCarty as a late inning defensive replacement. I wish he'd go out and find a pitcher, but this is a move he can't lose with.
  2. Michael Young went deep for an out right before the HR. Foulke escaped with that one.
  3. 3 lousy hits...this was pitiful.
  4. Top of the order for the Sox in the 9th. Let's get some hits!!
  5. A terrible waste of a comeback. I can't think Tito has much faith left in Embree.
  6. This was a great win. Clement really stepped up. Foulke bounced back with good velocity. A 1-0 win on an unearned run is a great win.
  7. Foulke needs to throw alot to be effective. As he gets his appearances in, he'll turn it around. I agree with sarasoxfan, Embree is a concern.
  8. The six man rotation is a weird idea that may work. However I think the Sox take Miller real slow, bringing him back late next month or even June and maybe spot starting him. With his injury he can be one pitch from blowing it up.
  9. I was very surprised to see Schilling stay in that long and go over 100 pitches. The Sox are getting no clutch hitting and taking bad swings on good hitters counts.
  10. The fact that he's still talking about last year seems to indicate that he may miss Boston. I'm no psychologist but it sounds like he's trying to convince himself he made the right decision by beating down on the Sox.
  11. I really needed a day off from a game after Monday. And now it's Schilling's grand return. If there's a ceremony, I can't take it anymore. We'll see right away in the first what kind of fastball and splitter Schilling has out there. Watch out for Wright going after a Sox hitter. He had a rep for nailing yankee hitters.
  12. I hope he only gives up solo HR's. I'd be happy to see him go 6 innings, no BB.
  13. This was a perfect day. I tried to watch the feed on mlb.com but it locked up alot. It was great to see Dave Roberts!!! Does anyone have a tape of the pregame ceremony and is willing to make a copy???
  14. The ending did seem slapped together and an afterthought, but the movie is such fun for any Sox fan and their girlfriend/wife. My wife and I started dating during the '86 season and we were together that night at Busch. We laughed alot and saw alot of ourselves in this movie, as I'm sure many Sox fans will.
  15. Another blown one by Mo, a boot by a-rod, even a two rbi hit from Edgar. All is right with the world.
  16. Wake is looking good, Edgar is still looking terrible.
  17. Brad Mills is acting manager today with Tito in the hospital.
  18. Tito was taken to the hospital by ambulance this morning from the stadium with stiffness in his chest according to WEEI. In a taped interview he did before he left he did not sound well. Prayers out to Tito.
  19. I don't want to overreact to these two games, but it does look like the Sox could have used another week of spring training instead of opening up in NY.
  20. Wells has spotted a very good curve tonight, and he's thrown it behind in the count.
  21. Wells is clearly not fooling many hitters. Time for middle relief.
  22. I got to two games, both against the Orioles, one in Fort Myers and one in Fort Lauderdale. The Sox didn't play well in both games, but it didn't matter, it's spring and we were having too much fun talking aboutlast season.
  23. Sheets IS in the last year of his contract. His agent just arrived in Brewers camp this weekend looking for a 4 year deal at 10 mill per yr. Plus can Sheets really want to stay with four more years of winning 11 or 12 games a season?
