  1. Pedoria probably needs 'till 2006, but he probaby would do a good job adjusting. The kid has David Eckstein's heart, but a ton more talent. But to do that, what team would take a shot at Bellhorn? A logical choice would be the Rockies, I think even Bellhorn would hit there.
  2. I agree Youkillis should start, but what other option do the Sox have? They can't sit Bellhorn, Mueller would be a MAJOR defensive liabilty at 2B. Pedroia isn't ready, nor is Hanley. Other than a trade, the Sox should just wait for Pedoria. And remember Bellhorn is a 9 hitter not a cleanup hitter.
  3. Rockies, or Rangers.
  4. Yea, he can't be worse than Millar at defense can he? Shopp's offense would be well worth seeing the transition though.
  5. Why don't the Red Sox move Kelly Shoppach to first base? He's seems like a good athlete who could make the transition over time. He'd be able to take over for Millar next year that way, and it give the Red Sox a player with 25+ HR power on the corner.
  6. If Shoppach keeps up that pace he could hit 40+ HR's.
  7. Fans have the right to boo, but it isn't right. BUT, Renteria does deserve those boos, he's hitting a paltry .239 when we could have gone after Julio Lugo for a year for about 35 million dollars cheaper. Lugo probably would have given us the same production. (.280 10-15 HR's) Millar doesn't deserve the boos though, it's expected of him to have one crappy half, and one dominant half. He also doesn't make even close to the money as Renteria does, plus Millar is an excellent teammate. Bellhorn is different, he deserves boos, but why bother? Not one of you can honestly say, that you expect Bellhorn to do anything when he's up. I sure as hell don't even watch his atbat's, because I know he's going to walk or strikeout. Have to give some props to him though, he is a good clutch hitter.
  8. Um, you've never heard of Davies, probably. He's the best prospect in the Braves system (save for Fracouer) and he's dominated minor league baseball. If the Braves hadn't traded for Kolb, Davies would be the 5th starter for the Braves.
  9. 7 IP's 2 H 1 ER 8 K's, still a good performance.
  10. He has a no-hitter through 5 innings, and has fanned 6. I'll post his final line when he's done.
  11. 11 game hitting streak for Renteria going on
  12. Clutch, clutch, clutch! Rent will own soon. Just let him get adjusted.
  13. 98 MPH FASTBALL ON THE SLIDE STEP, HE's f***in raw
  14. 'tek Boi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Rivera's fine against other teams, it's just the Red Sox he struggles badly against. Gordon still can't get lefties out, Quantrill's way too hittable, and Felix Rodriguez has problems just taking showers. As for your hitting, Matsui had busted out of his slump Monday, and Cano will never hit.
  16. Where is Castillo anyway? I agree with Zen, he gets a 0.
  17. Mantei was a closer, how 'bout him if Foulke falters?
  18. The Yankees gained no ground on the Red Sox over their 5 game run, and they gained only one on Baltimore. They still aren't pitching well, and need to have all 9 hitters to hit the ball in order to win.
  19. Street is probably the only good pitcher in that bullpen. Calero's ERA is hovering very high right now. The A's are done.
  20. I don't think Wells would enjoy a trip to the bullpen, maybe we keep Wake in, and send Arroyo in because of his resillant arm. This team has too much pitching depth.
  21. Pedoria is currently at .342/.425/.898 2 HR's 37 H's 8 2B's 15 BB's to 11 K's He's on a tear.
  22. I like that chant Milwaukee fans say. O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. 1. Schilling (won't be back for a while though) 2. Wells (c'mon guys, this guy is a flat out gamer) 3. Arroyo (2.91 ERA so far) 4. Miller (will be dominant) 5. Clement (Zenny's Jason Schmidt prediction looks very good) Here's why Wakefield would be a much better pitcher in the bullpen, after seeing 91 MPH from each of our starters, they now see a 58 mph knuckleball. That would be hitters in slumps for awhile
