  1. yup, and our wins were better.
  2. If Foulke continues to struggle, I'd give the job to Timlin, and his 1.08 ERA. (BoSox, can you look up Timlin's VORP number?)
  3. Bellhorn will have an okay year, but will yield way to Dustin Pedoria next year.
  4. I'm in agreement with Yankees on this one. I'm baffled that Mark Bellhorn would be considered a top 2B in this league. I'd rank 'em 1. Alfonso Soriano TEX 2. Brian Roberts BAL (everyone forget him) 3. Bret Boone SEA Probably Bellhorn at 6 or 7
  5. What about Huff? Or Lyle Overbay?
  6. Why would we be worried, our rotation is better then yours, our bullpen is better then yours, our lineups is better then yours, our minor league farm system is better then yours. So tell me why would I have to be worried? And as for your, were the Yankees, so don't forget it. The Yankees are not real Yankees anymore, they have no chemistry. Think I'm lying, observe these quotes from columist Buster Olney and two Yankee players. This team aren't the Yankees of years pass, they are entering a dark age, why the hell would the Red Sox be afraid of this team, or better yet why would any team. 7. That's true they are, I'd like to see Billy Beane make some moves so his team can beat the Yankees. They might not be good this year, but with all the talent they got loaded in their system, they'll be pretty good.
  8. Not really, I mean you threw shutouts against the A's, which is not much of a accomplishment. Let's see, you also gained no ground this weekend except againt the D-Rays. The Red Sox got Wade Miller back who had better stuff then any of your pitchers, no I'm not starting to sweat, I'm about ready to watch you fall way back in our rear mirror.
  9. I say again, f*** MONEYBALL!
  10. Meredith is a 21 year old, sidearmer. He's new to the team, and was drafted in the 6th round last year. He was very effective in the minors.
  11. How hard was his top fastball, and where has it been sitting at?
  12. A-Rod did not say f*** you guys, there's no way he'd publicly swear at a teammate. He's a Jeter wannabe and we all know Jeter doesn't swear at teammates.
  13. Wow, so much for the prediction for A's winning the AL West, I think you have to be able to pitch and hit first before you win ballgames. A's can't hit, at all. It's been a month and Kendall can't adjust, Chavez is clearly in a funk that has gone to his head. Hatteberg is a cleanup hitter??!! The A's have some good starters, but no bullpen. Octavio Dotel is just as liable to blow a save as Calvin Schardei was. Cruz is a power arm, but all he can throw is a fastball. Calero can't get anyone out, and Street doesn't look as dominant as he did in Minor league baseball. I'm looking forward to a 3 game sweep of Oakland.
  14. OK the A's officially suck total ass, when you can't score a run of a washed up Mike Mussina, or a piss poor Kevin Brown, you offically blow total ass.
  15. PPD till a later time I guess. Don't worry about the Yankee winning streak, I believe Rich Harden pitches tommorow. Now if the A's could ever score any f***ing runs, they'd be alright. But my guess, and this the exact opposite of what I just said, is the Yankees win tommorow 3-1, because the A's offense sucks, and the way Kendall and Chavez are hitting, Brown will be able to get out of any trouble in the 1st inning. I hope i'm wrong though.
  16. Bronson is arbitration eligble for at least two more years. Bellhorn is also arb eligble, but probably will not be offered anything, if Pedoria continues to rake in the minors.
  17. We'd have to give up a ton of good young players for Helton, it's going to take Hanley, Papelbon, and probably Sanchez.
  18. 8, for being too emotional on the mound, which can really hurt him. I'd give him a 9 or a 9.5 stuff wise, but overall an 8.
  19. Not now, next year. But I have doubts it will happen.
  20. Sit David Wells? He did have a streak of 15 scoreless innings, and he did shut down a very talented Baltimore team. But you have to throw the last game out, he was clearly hurt from the beginning, Wells is a gamer who wins ball games. He should be fine, and will be a key piece of in our rotation come October. 11-3 3.22 ERA in the postseason. But I wouldn't worry about sending anyone into the pen right now, Wells will be back before Schilling, and Schilling will be back in about 2-3 months (that's a torn tendon he has)
  21. Probably Tino was confused and got thrown out. You remember that Billy Mueller shot last July? In that game Damon was judging a fly ball to RF, which fell, and Damon was thrown out at 2nd. But then again that would be scored a single with the runner getting thrown out.
  22. Mirabelli can hit the ball in limited duty, but your right he's a major step down from 'Tek, I believe we should pair Shoppach with Charlie Zink this year, so we can cut Mirabelli, and bring up Shopp next year, he's hitting the ball everywhere.
  23. YankeesRule, Please shut up, your ignorance of baseball trading has no limit. The Yankees have 2 prospects in their farm system that people would show any interest in. But that interest would be remote at best. Eric Duncan is overrated, he's a 20 HR guy who can't field at ALL. And even if you did have the prospects, who would you trade for? Brian Anderson? Good luck with that. As for your the Sox pitching sucks, our best three starters right now are way better then your starters (statsically) and except for Randy Johnson, our pitchers are better overall. Clement Arroyo > Mussina Wakefield > Pavano Miller > Wang Halama > Brown (that is the dead truth) AND when Schilling gets back 100 %(even though he wasn't healthy look at his 20/3 K/BB ratio) along with Wells, who was pitching very well before he went down our rotation makes yours look like the Royals, oh wait, the Royals rotation is probably better. One more thing, is the issue of the bullpen. The Yankees bullpen, sucks more dick then Liberache did. Rivera has lost his aurora surronding him, Gordon can't get lefties out, Quantrill is way too hittable, Mike Stanton has nothing left, Felix Rodriguez is way too wild. As for the Sox bullpen Foulke's easily saved his last 3 games, Timlin's sinker is producing more GO's, Embree's been effective, Mantei is just now locating his curve and his 98 mph fastball, Myers is the best LH specialst ('cept BJ Ryan cause he's just too f***ing good) and by June look at for a kid named Cla Merdith coming up for Boston. 15:3 K to BB ratio, and in 16 IP's he's given up a 7 hits. In all, the Yankees are old (not debatable) they have no chemsitry (not debatable) and most of all they flat out SUCK!
  24. Just one quality pitch, so I don't think he'd get by.
  25. Hanley will probably be our CF next year, with Pedroia at 2B taking over for Bellhorn (hopefully) How about Cla Merdith, he's a submariner with only one hit allowed in 7 IP's with 6 saves.
