This is not a new era for starting pitchers who go less innings today than they ever have? Come on man! You’re better than that, or at least I thought you were. I don’t  know about you, but I only care what happens to Red Sox pitchers. Last 5 years has quite a medical history.

My God, your reading comprehension level is below pre-K.

Comparing what Pedro did 33 years ago to today’s pitchers isn’t? As I’ve said many times before I don’t answer questions how you want me to, or what you want me to.🤓

Thanks for the perfect example of missing points.

Not agreeing is different from not understanding- just as suggesting is not a synonym of predicting.

You'll never get it. I'm just as dumb for even engaging in conversation with you.

This is more analytical stupidity. What good is a pitcher who can throw faster if hes hurt? Not only is it wrong morally but it takes away from pitchers skill of winning without their best stuff. Brewers are old school. Jacob Misiorowski's stuff was not as good Skubal but came away with win.

I can see having sour grapes against the Yankees after the rivalry all these years, and especially now after the last two years  being booted out of the postseason by them  after a brief cameo appearance by the Sox. I have no problem with the Dodgers being booted out especially by a team like the Brewers, but I also have enjoyed watching Mookie win three more rings with the Dodgers since his one with the Sox. The Sox aren’t as good as the Yankees, or the Dodgers, and I don’t see that changing any time soon, so probably sour grapes there as well.

But--that doesn't mean we couldn't win with good management and a cohesive team.

The Cubs paid the most money in MLB history for good management three years ago when they recruited Milwaukee manager Craig Counsell.

Since then the Brewers have won the most games in the majors.

Just to be clear. I wasn't advocating buying new management.

That’s true, and that’s the bright side to look at things. I guess I’m just not as hooked on the magic carpet ride while fun while it lasted this past season as some, and see what the team was on either side of. that ride, which was a losing team, so I just don’t see the Red Sox to being a good team as most, or being that close to being one. . Watching Tracy going to Miller time twice against the Yankees in a one run ballgame doesn’t give me anything to see that he’s that good a manager. Rookie aside those wasn’t smart baseball moves. Why root against the Dodgers?

If what many think--Tracy was told what to do--perhaps a lesson has been learned. Both Tolle and Gray were disrespected (I am being nice).

I think most people happy the Dodgers are out just don’t want the same team winning every year (unless it’s Boston).  And some also don’t like the Dodgers habit of exploiting their TV deal advantage to purchase titles…

Then it seems like nearly every manager this postseason got those same instructions.

Leashes are shorter in the postseason.  And that’s not a new thing this year…

It would make me sick to see a rookie manager yank his veteran ace coming off a career year for a shaky newcomer who sucked for an entire month...

... but that's only if I was rooting for a team that could hit, and just saw the score turn into a blow-out too large to overcome.

However -- the playoff wild card Red Sox circa 2025-26 cannot hit a lick. Get. Some. Fricking. BATS!

I agree that it was a Geek-Nerd-Computer playbook that Tracy was going by. Didn’t help him any IMO of jumping on that grenade at the press conference saying it was his decision only.

I agree 100% how the Dodgers go about it.

Didn’t seem that way with the Yankee starters.

Transcript of front office meeting to remove the "interim" tag:

JH: "We're prepared to make you a millionaire..."

B: "... as long as you do what you're told, and take all the heat from the media and blame from the public when outcomes are less than optimal."

C: "Sure. Why not."

Yes if you stopped watching after game one against Boston…

Huh? Huh? Max Fried pitched 6 innings, and threw 98 pitches in game 2.🙈

And he got yanked at the first sign of trouble.  Plus the Yankees went on to play a whole nother series…

Tolle, and Gray got pulled early. Fried going 6 innings, and 98 pitches is NOT getting pulled early except maybe in your universe. The Yankees were leading 8-1. Fried wasn’t taken out, because of some geek-nerd computer printouts. Anyway no more N’s, or M’s today. Football you bet.👋

Myself--I am making a large 10 qt. Lodge Dutch oven of bison meat chili.

Now its simmering all day along with me simmering over Tolle and Gray yanked.

Its obvious to anyone who watched the Yankees series that Tolle and Gray were both taken out too early. Managers used to manage based on experience and feel. Now its predetermined by some nerd geek who probably never played baseball.

Spot on! It was a dick move not once, but twice and not a Dick Tracy move either. Miller Time was not the right move before it happened, when it happened, or after it happened.🙈
