Casual observations-

  • It feels like we've been fortunate with our BP.  Winning this many in row requires a lot of use from your top guys.  It looks like we've been able to stagger them a little.
  • I'd like to see out TBD pitch a complete game shutout, but I wouldn't mind seeing Bello either.  It seems like too long between appearances.  I'd like to see him maintain his mental sharpness.

Brez has done well with the WOO pen shuttle service and putting Bello there.

He may be hoping for the Suarez and Early returns to bump a starter (Rivera & then Sandoval) to the pen, but I think we need some outside help- as we do every year.

Here are the OPS Against numbers as RP'ers. I divided them into 4 groups:

Failures and not in our future plans:

2.500 La Sorsa (2 PAs Against)

1.378 Oviedo (18)

1.064 Uberstine (11)

1.013 Kahnle (43)

(.713 Anderson w 32)

_____________________

Not so good but will/may needed:

.822 Slaten (104)

.750 Watson (222 and improving)

_____________________

Doing okay to pretty good:

.692 Weissert (165)

.652 Gamboa (32)

.633 Samaniego (81, but not ding well in AAA)

.614 Kelly (71 doing okay in AAA)

________________________

Doing well to very well

.615 Guerrero (90) Big BOOST!

.595 Chapman (134) Slipping, of late.

.535 Whitlock (137) The BULL!

.487 Bello (111) WOW!

.419 Moran (145) One guy I projected to do well & has.

.200 Rivera (10) Starting, for now.

Would love to get a few early runs to support Bennett who is a strike thrower.

Wondering why the TBD in game 2.

Maybe Suarez is not 100%

Yeah. that's nice but it's all singles.

I really wanted the big bopper.

That is not Gonzalez who needs more time at WooSox. He is clueless right now

Duran is the clean up man today.

Very rough season but pretty good here and now

He is hitting the ball harder of late. Still swinging at too many balls out of the zone, but hitting it harder

And you are still a moron. Or a jackass. Which would you prefer?

Fred has spent his whole life staring directly into every solar eclipse. He's trained specifically to never drop a flyball like the one Ceddanne did.

It was a tongue in cheek comment. Of course he lost it in the sun. It happens.
