You could have used the word clutch had you added one of the antecedents un - or anti-.

Actually, a few fans on this forum don't believe clutch exists.

Which is a big slap in the face of Big Papi.

The Sox batters hit some wicked foul balls but mostly soft bouncers or the old can-o-corn pop ups when hitting into fair territory

Why is the foul pole not called the fair pole? If the ball hits the foul pole, it's ruled fair.

Same holds true with the foul lines.

And you wonder why Sox batters are confused ?

75% of the Earth is in foul territory so how do you expect them to hit it fair

After tomorrow's afternoon loss the Sox travel to Seattle. I hope jet lag doesn't negatively affect their offense.

The further from Fenway the better they hit. Should be a great weekend

Can't wait for them to come to Anaheim over 4th July so Bres can see Jo Adell in person

I don’t actually think clutch really exists. Clutch is the ability to stay relaxed and do what you normally do.  Big Papi’s stats late and close were not a whole lot different than his overall stats, it just seemed that way.

Nonclutch describes guys who tense up in those situations.  You know, like everyone on this team.

Too bad there's no MLB team in Hawaii.

In our excitement over this game. don't lose site of the fact that it was old friend Weissert who gave up the 3rd run , cementing the lid on the 0-39

If the relocated to Pearl Harbor, would they rename them the ZEROES , in honor of their scoring ability ?

Vegas, it's only 0-31, but 0-39 is definitely attainable.

on pace to finish 66-96. good job Breslow.

I like the idea of the Sox being early sellers. Who of the everyday players would you consider untouchable?

I can only think of Rafaela and maybe Abreu.

The 9th inning heroics by the 3 Ks of Rafaela , Abreu and Contreras showed me they only wanted to get to the showers ASAP. This team is quitting

Still have not won 30 games

Vieing for the worst team in AL, and won that race to the bottom.

Royals and Angels both got to 30 wins first.

The worst results in a weak league

IMHO, the Sox are the worst team in the AL, and perhaps the worst team in MLB. I posted this earlier, but it deserves repeating.

I just got home so I don't know if this has been talked about but I read an article today about the two guys that Breslow traded for Dustin May. One of which is James Tibbs who the Sox got from the Giants for Devers. Both are tearing up the minors and Tibbs is now ranked as the #24 prospect in MLB. Add in Kyle Harrison and Shane Drohan who the Sox gave up for non-hitting Caleb Durbin and its clear that Breslow and his staff don't know what the hell they are doing.
