Hes actually been hitting the ball hard recently.

I don’t like him as a starter, but there aren’t many utility infielders I prefer for that role…

It’s good or excellent, My teenaged mind of 50+ years ago kind of translated it as large and the main phrase I remember from the book was horrorshow groodies, which dealt with the torso of a grown woman (like I said, I was a teenager).

I admit I looked up the Russian word for gap, so my phase above was meant as large holes in the offense.

The comment by AC is the real point . The Sox took him for Sale on the assumption Grissom had worthwhile talents of a regular  and Sale was  fragile, if not washed up and look at the money the Sox will save.

No, I would not want Gruesome back for any reason.
