Anyone notice that other than 1st inning, Suarez allowed 2 out baserunners in each inning. Olson's HR was almost predictable

I believe that's Rice speaking.  But whatever he means by "hit the top of the ball" it does not mean "hit the top of the ball."   I wish I knew what hitting coaches mean by that, or how hitters interpret it.  But 'hitting the top of the ball' in a literal (i.e., acc. to physics)  will result in nothing but a ground ball.

If you go on Google and look up what does hitting on top of the ball mean, it describes it quite well.

Weissert to the rescue , get 3 outs with no ball hit

Note that after Duran and Rafaela's HRs, no Sox runs have been created, but it is still early

Was it wise to bring in Wisert? Just 2nd guessing.

Allows 2 of 2 inherited runners to score.

But it was Suarez who gave up a 2 out walk followed by an HR in 5th and opened 6th with triple and put mor-on

So Suarez started the fire and Weissert just added more gas.

"Gasper can do some damage."

Yeah, he could.

Yeah, Mickey hit hard and got a run home.

Could not have done better. Well, maybe a hit but we can't have everything

Sogard is a great example of a AAAA player.  Nice to have for flexibility but do not count on them to perform as front line starters day in- day out

I guess the same can be said about a couple of Sox top prospects.
