And so it begins. And did the Red Sox really use their entire bullpen last night?

They will probably call somebody up from WOO today to help the bullpen out. Samaniego?

Is it time to cut Watson loose? (Maybe invent a reason to go on the IL?)

Unless they put someone on the IL (Gray?), he’s not eligible to return until the 29th (pitchers have to spend 15 days in the minors if optioned).

They would have to either DFA someone or call up Tolle or Bennett.

Or activate Sandoval…

Beyond time. Not worth it to put him on the IL.

Gray is going to be out for a few weeks.

I guess there's a chance he gets it together in his rehab time and earns a second look, but I'd be fine with a straight DFA.

There's just nothing about his stuff that is worth keeping around with the roster restrictions.

… unless you think the team is going nowhere anyway…

Not sure it's worth holding onto him this year so that he can be AAA depth next season.

It looks that way, but we must have taken him for some reason.

He's tall, he's got a strong arm...

A better answer might have been: "There's a reason he was left unprotected."

It is the lefty Sama something up from beautiful Worcester Massachusetts, top of the afternoon people, first game that matters this year, got the cold ones ready, my mistress Mary Jane always is nearby. anything less then 2 wins here is a big fat L. A sweep seems beyond reason, given the first 22 games.

I really hope we are not seeing another Fear Strikes Out thing with the Red Sox and Duran. If the rest of them are being given the playing time to work out their slumps, He should be afforded the same. Look I WILL GIVE A PASS to 3 out of the 9, everyone knows which 3, cf,rf,1b. He is being singled out of the 7 by Cora for the failure of the group. To me the biggest disappointment up until now given all the hype , it is Roman Anthony with his weak sauce 225 avg and even weaker 4 runs batted in, with 1 goner. It sure would be nice if they started hitting as a team, because otherwise it is going to be a long hot summer.

Well who didn’t see that coming??

FLOPS already losing. Game almost over already. What an awful team.

At least the Celtics are playing….

This is the worst offense I can remember this team put on the field in the last say 20 years.
