Top 100 guys:

Tolle 8

Arias 16

Eyanson 48

Witherspoon 73

Gonzales 98

Wow. I did not expect 5, especially since Early grduated.

I thought Tolle might be 20ish, Arias right behind and maybe Eyanson 75th for just 3.

I fully realize top prospects don't always turn into stars or super stars, but we'd seen quite a few decent snf some nationally ranked prospects graduate since 2024 and have 5 in the top 100, now!

2024: Abreu & Rafaela (plus Slaten)

2025: Anthony, Mayer & Campbell (plus Narvaez)

2026: Early

Now: Tolle, Arias, Eyanson, Witherspoon & Gonzales

That's 11 + 2 honorable mentions

Osvaldo Berrios, Sadbiel Delzine, and Juanyerlin Duran combined to pitch a no-hitter on a memorable day in the FCL

While many of our farm pitching prospects have looked good or great to start the season, a few the everyday players have stepped up in big ways.

Arias had some questions about his bat after being promoted for 10 games, last year at age 19. He's amazed even his most ardent followers. BA already jumped him up to 16th, and if he keeps up even close to this pace he might be top 10 in some midseason rankings.

Gonzales doesn't turn 20 until DEC, and he's off to a very nice start in A+ (.863.) He cracked the BA top 100 (98th) and might be in quite a few top 80 or 100 by summer.

It's always hard to gauge players this young, and despite both being at levels with much older players, these two are looking real fine.

I'm doubtful any other everyday players crack the top 100 by the end of the season, but some players are showing a lot of upside, so far:

Godbout turns 23 shortly after this season and has already made the top 10 soxprospects, com rankings list. He's at .914, so far and has 6 HRs in just 94 ABs in A+ ball.

Cespedes turns 21 in SEP, and was highly regarded when signed as an IFA in 2023. He struggles a lot, but seems to have found his stride, this spring at GRE. (.950 with 7 HRs in 124 ABs.)

Yophery Rodriquez is 20 is at A+ and super hot. (.980 and 9 Hrs in 101 ABs)

Some others are very young, and FCL's season just started. Here are soxprospects, com's highest remaining prospects:

9. Soto (18 at FCL)

12. Azocar (19 at A-) .826 w 5 Hrs and 6 SBs in 124 ABs

13. Romero (22 at AAA) Slow start (.590)

15. Ramos (18 at FCL)

16. Rivas (18 at FCL)

28. Silverio (17 at DSL) and 29. Brito (17 at DSL)

30. G Rodriguez (20 and slow start at A+) and Heyman (22 and at .883 at A-)

33. Primera (FCL) 34. Mason White (.921 at A+) and 37. Carson (FCL)

Gonzales with a sweet outfield assist too

Only 6 minor league players have more PAs and a better OPS (1.122) than Arias and 8 have a higher wRC+ than Arias (180.)

Of the 4 top OPS guys in the Eastern League, Arias is the youngest by 4 years.

Quite honestly I like to see both Story and Yoshida DFA. Just ear the money and give playing time to our young players.

Bennett got kinda roughed up for Woo, tonight. Sogard and Romero homered in the loss, while KC drew 3 walks. (the only 3 for the team) Sogard is up to .871 and not much talk about a look-see with the big club for him.

POR won 5-3 as Arias finally had a bad night (0-5.) Alcantara & Liendo had dingers.

GRE is struggling, of late. They lost 5-1. Godbout went 3-5 (.931.)

SAL won 6-3 and Morgan pitched well (5IP 1H 0ER 1BB 3K) Azocar homered, singled and walked (.846.) Heyman dbld and walked twice (.869.)

It doesn't feel like Witherspoon's ETA is '27. Phillips in '28 might be pushing it too.

Wehunt hasn't really been very good in AA. Wouldn't be surprised if he never makes it.

'27 for Monegro is kinda crazy considering he'll be coming of TJS. Don't really see that happening next year.

This might be one area sp.com is not so good at.

KC is 6-25  in May with 1 HR, and 4 RBI. 14K’s. 14 K’s is not a good look.

I don't think anyone who is paying attention believes he is a near term solution.

I don't know how often they adjust it either? I know they talk about the grades midseason. A lot of scouting reports haven't been updated yet this year either. Wish they were all updated annually.

I mean, who is good at predicting when guys will get to the majors?

True, but some seem way off, and as MVP pointed out, their updates are not done often.

Remember how well the prospects at GRE were looking out of the gate? They are now 1-13 in their last 14 games. Valera going on the IL didn't help, but pitchers like Witherspoon (7.18) Phillips (8.44) Gartrell (6.45) and even Futrell at 2.95 have seen their ERAs nearly double. Eyanson was promoted. That's not really a bad thing, but it is for GRE.

In all fairness, they do have several batters still doing well:

.963 YRod

.930 Godbout

.885 Mason White

.885 Cespedes

.880 Gonzales

(In small sample sizes: 1.241 Ronny Hernandez & .976 Hudson White.)

Winnay & I Jackson have not been bad.

Is this too absurd?

Trade or DFA Story, Yoshida and IKF.

Promote Ward, Sogard and Capra.

Bench Duran. (Ward LF, Capra 2B and Mayer SS)

Arias, Ferguson & Brannon from AA to AAA

YRod, Cespedes & Godbout A+ to AA

Maybe Nunes, Opata & Azocar to A+?
