Gonzalez redeems himself!  Line drive single to bring Story home.

Rafaela slump continues.  Out by a mile stealing 2b.

The Sox won 7 of 8 with mostly excellent pitching. Lack of timely hitting just made all the pitchers' jobs tougher than they had to be.

No doubt the pitching was the major part of this stretch, but come on. There were plenty of key hits, including Rafaela's homer.

How about Romy's 8th inning RBI to win the BAL game 3-2?

I guess the 5 runs scored in the 5-0 win don't count, because it was a shutout, despite there never being a 0-0 win in MLB history. The 12-1 win, the same. s***** offense due to no key hits.

Let's not count Duran's 3 run homer in a 3-1 games.

We shoulda scored 8 in the game our staff let up 7 vs the Yanks.

The 1-0 win vs the Yanks certainly had very few big hits, but Wong's still counts.

Down 3-2 to the Yanks in game one and a 6-3 win involved zero key hits.

These were team wins during a time when the pitching was doing very well. Most of the best stretches involve good pitching. I've always believed that, but our bats have been good enough.

A cheap single, and HBP, and a BB to load the bases with no one out.

Mr Hyde broke out and has taken over the Sox mound.  No one out yet in the 5th with 3 runs in and 2 men on.

I hate watching May

His facial expressions are just like Tolle's, only opposite.

Tolle dares batters to try and hit him, while May pitches like he hopes no one will swing.

Why isn’t Cora getting someone warmed up??  Insane

Sox are in a long stretch with no days off.  Plus May pitched well for 4 iP--0 ER.

No standing O for May. More like a standing 3 count.

If May pitches the 6th and gives up 0 runs, it's a quality start.  The 1st run was unearned.

Anthony K's for the 3d time against a righty pitcher who absolutely has his number.

He also has Bregman's number and Duran's.

That's the top 3 in the Sox batting order.

Shame on me for defending May.
