Would anyone REALLY give a s*** if we DFA'd Weissert TONIGHT???

He is our 3rd or 4th best RP'er out of 8.

I'd care.

You want Hicks?

I thought they'd take Tolle out after 5. I think he was at 69 or 70 pitches, which is what they were giving him in the minors.

You've already mentioned that a couple of times.

Shouldn’t have come out for the inning

I’ll mention it again. Another mistake by Cora.

Offense has to show up on this one. It’s their time. They can’t relay always in pitching.

Wasted this

Bregman is hitting into a lot of DPs lately

Anthony just tied him at .888 for best Sox OPS.  This is his 7th or 8th bad game in a row,.

Yeah, but the Yankees couldn’t get him out. That counts.

No, I don't want Hicks.  But I do want Weissert to do better than that against the worst hitting team in MLB.

Having players do what they can't do is bad managing. Cora checks so many boxes.

What’s on Cora is not making sure they CAN do things like bunt.

This was a dumb call by Cora. I relay more in a SB by Rafaela than bunt by Wong who has been hitting the ball well recently. Then comes the 2P hence a wasted inning.

Those are the little big mistakes and intangibles that are taxing us.

Can the Sox reach 3 runs tonight? Stay tuned.

Actually, I'm a little surprised they got 2 against Skenes. The Sox did get 7 hits, which ties the most hits Skenes has given up this season. So congrats to that.

He's been terrific this season--at bat, in the field, and talking to other players after the games.

But facts are facts.  I think he might be tired, but whatever the reason, this I hope mild slump is in its 7th straight game.
