This turned out to be one heckuva game, 1-1 in the 7th.  Marlin's starter was really tough and Bregman came in with a huge, huge double to the opposite field.  

Fantastic would more aptly apply to the Marlins' pitcher.

An old friend of mine, who was a great baseball player and even better softball player as he got older, used to tell me, "a pitcher is only as good as his last start." There is some truth to that, and Gio had me worried, that last start.

Completely agree.  He was terrific.  But Giolito looked like toast in the first 3 innings and luckily only gave up 1 run.  Then he settled down for another quality start.

With their top 3 hitters, they should have a shot, but "hitter" doesn't apply much to Anthony or Duran in this game.

Between he and Gio, we have two guys that should be in the voting for MLB Comeback Player of the Year Award.
