Drifting off of second right after you stole it is just dumb baseball

He may be a skilled fielder but not a complete baseball player

Seriously?  He has the highest WAR, 4.0, among the Sox lineup players.

I think the ump may be reacting to the catcher' pulling their mitts back toward the center of the zone.  He's assuming the ball had to be outside the zone.

Good umps call the pitch where it crosses the plate, not where the catcher moves it. The key words here being 'good umps.'

Of course they try to do that, but it ain't as easy as you make it sound.

Of course it's not easy. That's why there's so few good balls and strikes umps in MLB.

Crochet threw no fastballs to Walker, who was ready for that cutter.

Whoever is calling the pitches is dumb.

I thought early on that pitches were being called from the bench (Bailey; Varitek?).

Later learned it is the catcher going by the game plan and what the pitcher is executing in the given game.

I worry about  this offensive flow with this team.  Cora has a different, largely different lineup every game with players out of position and no continuity in the line up.   Our World Series teams all had consistent predictable line ups.  The chaos of these lineups with marginal talent in many spots doesn’t bode well

Sox have 1 hit in the 4 innings/12 outs since Bregman's dinger.

And let's not forget that, after Bregman's dinger, the Sox went 0/3 with RISP.

I love when Bregman throws the breaking stuff low, but not on every single pitch.

I saw the clip of Jen Pawol calling her first HP game. First pitch is 4" inside and she called it a strike.

She will fit right in with these F'ups

Why is Bregman pitching ?
