Kudos to Breslow for his vision.

We are one top of the line starter from having a team that can compete for playoffs for next 6-7 years or through 2031 when Crochet's contract ends.

That's the length of extension for Rafaela. Bello has a club option for 2030.

Anthony and Mayer are team controlled through 2031.

Narvaez is under team control through 2030.

Abreu is under team control through 2028.

Kristian Campbell is under team control through 2032 plus two option years.

These are exciting times. Best thing Bres did was to get rid of Devers.

Well they are wrong....This is his second year, he's credited with 1 year 41 days coming into 2025.

His arbitration years are 2027-2028-2029. He then becomes a FA. Cot's is more reliable on contract matters.

Coming into the Rays series, I would have been OK with a 2-2 split, 3-1 would have been terrific, but a good shot at a sweep of the Rays--priceless !

Brayan gets to refine his daytime pitching again.   If he can throw strikes like last outing, he can prevail.

Hitters need to load up and wallball a few.

Heckuva series.  Three 1 run games so far.  How should this game be different?

Great pitching yesterday by both sides, with Narvaez driving in Anthony--who else?--after his big double and Narvaez with his seeing eye single.

Wong catching, Gonzalez at 2b, Rafaela in CF, Bregman at 3b, and Story at SS means Cora is going with 5 righty bats against a righty starter.

Wong caught Bello's complete game 5 days ago.

With our platooning, feels like we have more fire power at disposal, especially in latter innings. We can bring in left or right handed bats based on pitching matchup.

True.  With Duran, Rafaela, Abreu, and Anthony as outfielders, it would seem inevitable that one will be traded.  This is especially true with Yoshida/Ref handling DH.

Gonzalez at 1b over Toro, who made that terrific play last night to prevent a Ray from scoring.

FanGraphs says FA eligible 2030 meaning 29-30 offseason.

Brez also apparently trained Alex Cora to manage good enough without his best hitter to win 9 in a row and get back in the race.

We know this because some expert posters have repeatedly pointed out that Cora knows absolutely nothing about baseball (except how to win World Series rings as a player, coach and manager).

It's 'Blind Squirrel Day ' in Boston today. Expect Wong to have a big game.

Nice of the Sox to only start 8 MLBers.

DFA Cora. I can’t believe how horribly he (a) treated Duran (b) manages the bullpen (c) pulls starters too early (d) obsesses over Hamilton.

Don't forget his bias for getting contributions from all his players.

How could he? I want 9 everyday guys only, 5 starters that go 7 innings, 2 setup guys and a closer. No PT for anyone else!

No compliment for Rafaela or are you too busy with your love fest for Cora?

Try reading the gamethread?

With 2 outs , WTF was Mayer thinking, steal home ?

Gift run but that is all it takes, after Rays blunder away a run

Wong now 0-27 with runner(s) in scoring position.

Maybe he should just shut his eyes and swing. Become a left handed hitter. Do something.

The Rays are a well managed, fundamentally sound baseball team. It's sad they play in such a shite hole as Tampa.

It's too bad they never spend any money.
