Giolito has been ridiculous the last five games. Seems like it's time to get the brooms out and watch out for a future endeavor post concerning the COL GM.

He never should have let Story go.

I didn't realize how good Joe Ryan has been. Great WHIP #'s to go with strike out capabilities.

He is 29 years old with 2 more years of team control.

It would be worth it to trade away Duran for this guy. Duran has three more years of team control. Throw in a young pitcher, Fitts? That's pretty good haul for the Twins. That maybe an overpay for the Sox.

Do the twins need an outfielder??

Three lefty bats in the outfield tonight:  Anthony LF, Duran CF,  Abreu RF.

The three righty bats in the lineup are Story, Narvaez, and Gonzalez.

Hang’em Chaim is the best talent evaluator of left handed hitters that I have ever seen!!!! He is truly a savant!!!!
Too bad pitching is the most important part of baseball

Given all we've seen/watched, this is one of the most interesting lineups this season.  Against a righty, Rafaela gets a night off, Duran goes to CF, and Anthony to LF.  Yoshida DH.  Three righty bats:  Story, Narvaez, and Gonzalez.

Some, perhaps most on talksox, would argue that the Sox have gone after hitters first and pitchers second.  Partly that's because Fenway is a hitters ballpark.

I would suggest that philosophy changed some time around 2004, when they added Schilling and Foulke.

We would not have won any World Series this century unless we abandoned such archaic practices!!!!

I do see a direct correlation between being World Series contenders with pitching and being cellar dwellers when hang’em Chaim let our pitchers leave in free agency and failed miserably to replace them!!!!!

I completely agree the Sox have had to go after pitchers from other teams because their system for developing pitchers ain't so hot.

This year the Sox are spending about the same amount on pitching as on hitting.

Looks like another laugher.

No laughing when Masa gets up and cracks an HR.   The crowded clubhouse just got a little fuller.

Breslow needs to showcase Yoshida, and get some hitting to even begin to discuss trades involving our man Masa
