His career OPS+ is also in only 1 and 1/2 seasons and he’s 24. There is room for growth

regardless. With how good his defense is, he has immense value, even with a 94 OPS+

Rafaela will be a fixture in CF for many years as a Red Sox.

Watching Connor Wong hit leads me to believe I could play in the majors.

Wonder what happened to him. I mean he was kind of reliable in the past, at least offensively.

His D improved.

His O looked on the lucky side in ‘24 but not by this much!

Even Moon gave up on him. He’s had a great month. But his lack of K zone control will be his downfall. He’s a newer version of JBJ.

Romy has been quietly making a lot of noise.

Loudly, at times,

To those who hate platoons, take note of the Abreu-Ref and Toro-Romy platoons or semi platoons.

A newer version of one of best fielders of the 2010s who won an ALCS mvp? I’ll take it

Banging on trash cans ?   Oh, you mean with his incredible hot bat !     You would think he will be a popular  name in upcoming trade talks, but he is so far and above guys like Hamilton, Sogard, Eaton that Breslow should keep Romy.

No explaining Wong. He cannot even hit a hard ground ball.

How’d you like him when he proved he couldn’t hit the baseball? Very similar to Rafaela. He had a brief moment in the sun just like Cedanne. Then he sucked offensively though he was obviously great in CF.

He had 6 solid seasons. He had a very solid career with some great moments.

Not expecting Bregman to be raking upon his return, but if Story can continue his rampage, then the left side of the infield makes the lineup really stronger.

Put Story on 2B and Mayer at SS ( or just leave it as is)  and this team can roll

Also hold on to Duran just for grins

JBJ was even worse with a bat despite his “moments”

i know, it's nuts that he can't find one.  But then he has trouble catching them too

With a score of 10-0, who needs a hot-hitting catcher.  Wong just might have been of some value to Bello who is pitching in the 8th freaking inning.

Baseball is funny.   Rockies slop tossing LH pitcher in Fenway stymies them for 6 innings.  Then the manager overmanages and gets the Sox up to 10 runs

Rafaela had a solid rookie year too. I’m not going to complain about a 23 year old putting up a 2 WAR season despite playing out of position

Baseball is funny.  For the last 5 games, Cora has filled out a lineup card that puts a hitter with a career .274 OBP in the leadoff spot.  And the Soxare 4-0 in those games, and have a ten run lead in the seventh inning of the fifth.

At this point, it’s just Streak Mentality aka Superstition…

Hard to believe the Rockettes have only won 21 games.

Colorado is still paying Kris Bryant 27 mil/yr. He will continue to be paid that for 3 more years. The next highest paid player is the guy who started tonight, Freeland. He's getting 16 mil/yr.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Let’s see where he is in September.

Freeland has pitched 8 of the 19 quality starts by the Rockies and tonight was 1 out from his 9th quality start.  I thought he had excellent breaking stuff which he mixed well with this fastball.

Colorado's team payroll is almost 40 million more than the Rays.

It took some pressure off of Duran.  Eaton's OPS, season to date, is .333.   What you don't know about managing a game and a team would fill volumes.

And why the blatant animosity toward Cora?
