Sure errors count.  This time it was an unearned run, in part made possible by an ump who ain't giving Bello any corners.  

 

 

Hamilton is a bum, period. There’s a reason they extended Campbell, his ceiling is way higher in every aspect of the game. The only reason he is playing is because the injuries. That’s it. Once everyone gets back, he’s gone.

Agree Campbell is better, and I'm not touting Hamilton as another Pedroia.  I'm saying 2b is a weak spot in the lineup and that Hamilton right now is the best choice.

I would put Story, Mayer or Rafaela there any day of the week just for the sake to avoid Hamilton in the lineup. He hurts this team in every posible way.

I was wrong.  The error cost 2 runs.  If the Sox lose by 2, it's on Hamilton.  Too bad you don't acknowledge any of the good plays he's made. 

By the way, which Sox player had 2 hits and a 2 run dinger last night?  And didn't the Sox win by 2?

I don’t want a player who can’t handle routine plays and shits the bed in a regular basis who btw can’t hit the baseball to save his life. 
 

If you are going to rest your case based on that HR you are fooling yourself, not to mention, thanks to his yesterday’s error Sox allowed some runs as well —just like today.

Oh, stop it.    My case is that someone far more knowledgeable than me picked Hamilton over Campbell when Abreu returned.  Hamilton has always been a backup, and he's the best the Sox can come up with now.  He  has a positive DWAR and Campbell a negative one.  He bats at the bottom of the order.  When Bregman returns, Story or Mayer goes to 2b.  

The error cost 2 runs, but it was not a routine play.  Yesterday Hamilton drove in 2 runs in a 7-5 game.  If the Sox lose by more than 2 runs, the error didn't cost this game.

Whether or not he's a bum, he's the best available.  I agree Campbell is better, but he is also in Worcester for good reasons.  When Bregman returns,  the Sox will have options on who they want as backup--and Hamilton could well be the one sent packing.
