If Devers continues to cool off, mediocrity will turn into something worse.

Sucking is better than mediocrity. At least you get a good draft position if you suck. This team is headed towards sucking

Then the Rockies' fans must be ecstatic.

After watching Rafaela chase another ball in the dirt for a K, we get to see Zach Kelly, straight in from Polar Park serve up a lead off walk.   This is thrilling baseball

As thrilling as a Pauly Shore movie.

Kelly then produces another episode of Little League baseball featuring Cedanne and his new buddy, Marcelo's throwing arm.

These guys are untrained assclowns

Regarding the Sox, I believe we've all been fooled again.

Nah

We all knew this team would suck. They’ve sucked for years. They suck again.

The O’s SP had an ERA over 5 yet he owned us.
Henry must sell the team. Rafaela and Story have to be eliminated from the roster.
Gonna be a long long summer. Again.

Getting split at home vs one of the worst performing teams in MLB is not the best outcome for Red Sox

Quickly making this another patchwork , hit and mostly miss season of wild pitches, wild swings and wild throws  all over the field.

Wild Thing, you make  me puke

At least the Sox now have a damn good catcher and one damn good starter.

And in 4-5 years they might squeak into the playoffs!

Good to see the Sox worked on that run differential thing in bottom 9 and tightened it up.  Why some think the RD is an indicator of a good offense baffles me when a home team scores 2 runs in 18 innings of play , both coming in bottom 9's

This new Cora’s 85 pitch threshold is simply ridiculous especially when you have legit chances to win some games.

Its a clear message that he's not interested in winning the game, so why should the team try?

I predict that Toro will play in 2131 consecutive games.

About the amount of time it will take Casas to come back from the knee pop

On the positive Marcelo  Mayer got over his stage fright and picked up his first and second MLB hit.   He will now be in Baseball Reference book forever.

The Sox aren't terrible yet. They're still in the mediocre category, but terrible is definitely a future.possibility.

They are terrible when you take into account they are a 250 million dollar team

LOLOL....somebody tell me again how errors don't really matter.

In this game they didn't because the Sox scored 1 freaking run.  No errors would have been nicer, but would have had no effect on the game outcome.

Oh, stop it.  The errors today had no bearing on the game outcome.  As for the wild swings, I thought both Oriole starters, yesterday and today, had good stuff and good command.   Today Kremer went 5.1 IP with primarily 2 pitches, a so-so fastball (93 mph), and a nasty splitter which not one Sox batter hit hard.

Duran went 4/5, but Devers and Abreu were both 0 for 4.

I am by no means happy with this team, especially the 1 run yesterday followed by 1 run today.  I think it is no coincidence that Bregson didn't play in either game because he was a vital part of the lineup.   I'm fine with Mayer at 3b, but he ain't no Bregson even though his defense looks OK.

Just like the ole Sox.We've outscored the O's 27-17, but split the series.

We outhit the O's today 10-7 and lost 5-1.

Same ole-same ole.

With the implementation of the lottery for teams that missed the postseason, the worst record no longer guarantees the top pick.

Last year Seattle won four more games than Boston but the Mariners have the No,. 3 pick in the July draft while the Red Sox are stuck at No. 15:

poor roster construction that started with Chime Bloom. meanwhile, our previous GM has his team atop the NL East with the best record in MLB.

True-but I believe that teams with more losses have a better chance of getting a better draft pick than teams who have played well.

Errors tax the offense as well mentally though. It’s not the same approach when you are a couple of runs behind vs 5 or more.

This is when you have to take stats with a grain of salt. Some hits and runs came from a position player pitching and when the O’s felt they had nothing to fight for.
