Gone to grave yards everyone.

re warning track power from Story.   These guys do not hit well at home.

Another really bad K by Rafaela with men on 2nd/3rd.  A lot of BIP's would have scored at least one, setting up the 13th one run loss.

Duran is waking up nicely.  2out, 2 run RBI single vs a LH pitcher.   Timely hit

Perfectly placed throw cuts him down on the steal attempt.

Chapman does get it done, but with a lot of pitches.  3-2 walks usually hurt relievers.

Now can  Devers pull this win out of the fire ?

The answer is yes !!!    Come from behind win

For all the Cora bashing, perhaps deservedly, he did a move replacing Narvaez on first with D. Hamilton, who then stole  second and scored the tying run on Duran's hit.

AC may have picked up that move also well played by Tito Francona in 2004 playoffs vs. NYY

Replacing Narvaez in a tight game with Wong  is a little risky, especially with Chapman throwing  hard, but this move worked out very well.

Duran is the least of the Sox problems.

Unless you thought he would play like last year…

And now a shot at a series win behind the inimitable Brayan Bello .  Could be a great boost if BB can go 6 full without too many BB's

First career walk off for Devers!! I'm really liking the one/two punch Duran and Raffy have....somewhat developed. Always room for improvement.

Finally, a nice win.

Good to see that enormous Devers' smile.

Not bad for a insubordinate, bad diva teammate.🤫

Well, he didn't really get going until late June last season, so there's that. But it'll be a monster task to replicate last season.

Hopefully this good win gets them rolling.

Giolito will not be long for the rotation

Starting pitching getting thinner, especially with Buehler not being someone to be relied on to be available every 5th day.

Devers will do what's best for Devers. If it helps the Sox win, that's great. But let's not pretend he's a team player.

I never got any sense of his selfishness, until this year.

He's kinda been a quiet, calm and happy-go-lucky kinda guy, to me. I'm not happy with what has happened this year, but I don't usually make harsh judgments about someone over a couple incidents.

So far this season Wong has 0 passed balls.  It's also pretty obvious that Narvaez is our best catcher (who also can hit).
