Facing a RHP then a LHP helps us give some players one of the games off. My guess is all 13 everyday players start at least one game, today, except DHam. Let's see how it pans out.

CLE is a good team, so I guess a split is maybe the expectation, but a sweep would be great.

Game 1 line up:

1. Duran LF

2. Devers DH

3. Bregman 3B

4. Story SS

5. Abreu RF

6. Campbell 2B

7. Casas 1B

8. Sabol C

9. Rafaela CF

Maybe vs the lefty, in game 2, we'll see Romy at 1B, Narvaez at C and Refsnyder in RF. It looks like DHam may not start, today, as he would have vs the RHP in game 1.

Houck gets a 3 run cushion,    gives 2 back and still a man on third.  Using over 23 pitches to get just the first 2 outs.  Then gives up the third run  for a tie.  Really disappointing

Something not right about Tanner,  this year

Now gives up the 4th run in the first and cannot get the third out.   29 crappy pitches to get 3   down.

Insures a BP game on a Double Header Day.   Thanks , Tanner.   Could not have been a worse start !

The Sox have the Never Ready battery starting today.

I think when the guys saw Crochet get beat early, they gave up and said , we can do that too.

All of the sudden Houck realized he has a sinker and a fastball as well in his repertory and things worked out better but this guy makes every AB look as hard as it is a Vía Crucis man.

When one BB and one swing can bring Devers OPS from .657 to .705, might we not be making too much of a deal out of his slow start?

We’re taking good ABs and hitting the ball hard. Hopefully that trend sticks around

Wonder what is the BABIP of this team thus far this season.

A few starts now reminiscent of '24 ( more trends) and earlier.

Sox starters are not ready to go in the 1st inning, or the catcher, Sabol, cannot call a game from the get go, thinking the pitcher needs to edge into it.  Do the advanced metrics offer  any clue as to why Sabol is  catching on a competitive team.  Wong was not doing well but Sabol isn't helping either

Why do [pitcher's even bother to try and field their position.  I know, I know, reaction  to a hard hit ball coming at you, very natural.   But catch the damn thing.

Then tell Sabol to stay out of fair territory , so Bernie can field the bunt

AAAAAAnd there goes Devers as a potentially bigger factor in today's game(s)     Hope it's a bruise only but even that could cost a week.

Pretty bad when you can let up 4 runs in the first and still see your ERA go down after the game:

Houck from 7.66 to 7.58.

Yup, his offense would be missed.

Campbell, Bregman, Duran, and Narvaes, IMHO, are the only everyday players on this current team I wouldn't trade.,

You'd trade Crochet?
