Well it is a bit of a stretch BUT, if the Sox win out the next 4, and Tigers or Royals lose their remaining games, we are in the PLAYOFFS !!!  

The real shame is that it will probably come down to a couple losses in mid-late summer when the Sox had a lead late in the game, then the BP blew it. There are multiple examples.

Or maybe it was getting  swept by the Orioles April 10-11-12 then dropping game #1 to the Angels on the 13th ?   Who knows which few games kept this team out of it ?   Better ? , what difference does it make now ?

I do rejoice in the story that Rowdy Tellez had a $200K bonus due if he could get 4 more AB's this year, as the Pirates cut him  today.  Screw Rowdy.

I'm sure the MLBPA will protest loudly.

  The Sox won, as expected. Yes, Francis is a good pitcher, but the Jays pulled him after five innings and 70 pitches. They are checked out and very willing to lose.
