Having Jansen close this game speaks volumes how Cora feels about the BP.

I thought the same exact thing, but felt it was necessary.

Huge game from Bello, who now has a very nice 7 game stretch.

Yoshida has really looked like he belongs in MLB. Maybe, it was just about adjusting to the new culture and having his family with him, now.

We need a win, tomorrow.

Masa wasn't exactly chopped liver last year. He hit .289 with a .783 OPS.

Unfortunately, this is it for me in 2024. This two day trip cost me 4 figures, and I don’t have a ton of financial wiggle room after my entire life (temporarily) fell apart around this time last year. The satisfaction of seeing two more wins very much suppresses the cost of the trip, as well as feeling like s*** for being labeled as “different” and a social outcast for refusing to engage with people around me multiple times tonight. It sucks having a disability that nobody else can notice unless you tell them. But anyways, I’m rambling. 16 in a row!

Thunder, can I adopt you?

Well, my parents are moving to Florida next month. I’ll be there for thanksgiving and Christmas. If you kidnap me, I won’t tell anybody or try to run away

16 in a row. Damn impressive. The ghost of Rod Serling must be your wing man.

True, and he was at .821 on Sept 4th. It took a real bad end of the season to get to .783.

.525 in last 71 PAs.

I think keeping him at DH FT was a great idea.

Innings in LF:

713 in 2023

1 in 2024.

He still fields fly balls everyday, and takes it very seriously. I enjoyed watching him tonight before the rain came

If they had the DH rule when Williams played, he would have been the greatest DH of all time. Ted would have been able to practice his swing in the clubhouse instead of LF.

I believe Masa's gonna be fun to watch over his next 3 seasons. Longer, hopefully.

A retirement community that is essentially its own town. I believe it’s called The Villages. Hour or so north of Orlando, about the same distance from Tampa

LOL, that one is pretty famous down here. Let me know if they start putting loofas on their car.

Glad to read everyone else has already congratulated you. Both wins are stunningly good, and it is very hard not to give you come credit.

Just a reminder. One of my bosses in the Pentagon, later a 2 star, had the same malady. Just keep being you, whom the rest of us delight in knowing.

Good outing by BBB last night. Looks like he’s getting better as this season gets longer. This 5-1 is a better way to win than 12-10 as we all know pitching is the key the rest of the season. On The Road Again. I just can’t wait to get on the Road Again!

That catch by Duran in the 9th was absolutely incredible. I love watching this man play baseball

His transformation into a plus defender is about as stark as the one to a plus hitter.

He's been real fun to watch, as has Devers, Abreu, Rafaela, Ref, O'Neill, Wong and to some extent our scrubs filling in at middle infield (DHam & Romy) and 1B (Smith.)

The thing is, none of these performances look like flukes or one and dones.

The pitching and defense has not always been so "fun" to watch. We' ve had numerous pitchers do well for some pretty long stretches- just enough to keep us in this race, but right now, the pen needs a few guys to step up and get the job done on a consistent basis.

For a long while, Slaten and Bernardino carried the load. Kelly and Booser did for shorter stretches. Jansen has had a couple mini-meltdowns, but has been solid. Martin has not looked close to the 2023 Martin, so maybe he can be "that guy."

I'm not sure we can count on getting anything from Slaten's return or hendrik's arrival, but who knows.

We'll probably give Weissert or even I Campbell or Joely another look, but they seem like long shots, right now.
