I do think DHam is better on D and base-running.

For all the joking about Grissom's extended absence from the active roster, we should see a notable improvement at 2B and the plate that can only help the pitchers maintain their current run of success.

He's doing okay with the staff, too. (As of now, McGuire is doing better, but both are doing well with our pitchers.)

Home plate ump calls "Ball" twice in a minute, then checks-the-check -- first base ump pumps his fist -- three pitches later -- third base ump pumps his fist.

 

Both relays show Red Sox batter STOPPING their bats -- not SWINGING their bats.

 

But at least both corner umps got to call balls as strikes.
