Having a FIP that much higher than the ERA usually means most of the SOX starters have been lucky. At least that's my understanding of FIP.

That being said, a 1.92 ERA is still damn impressive.

Pitchers have been all hitting their upside. How long can that last? Who knows. Too bad the defense or bats weren't a little more consistent behind them. Nice start by Whitlock.

FIP is all about Ks, BBs and HRs, or things that are Fielding Independent.

I think we all know our fielders hurt our pitchers.

Look at our BAbip Against vs the other leaders.

Casas is on the spectrum, in case it is not obvious to all. On 2nd, no outs, down 2, what else would you do but lumber towards 3B ? Truly pathetic. Let's just hope he didn't either see a sign or mistake hold for run.

OB's too serious to do the play-by-play for this SOX team. Youk is just too damn boring. What this booth needs is a comedian, a Uecker type. The SOX will provide endless material. Edited by SPLENDIDSPLINTER

That was one of the dumbest base running plays I’ve ever seen.

Casas inner Ricky Henderson makes an untimely appearance.

Cora won't make it until Memorial day.

If I were him, I'd resign rather than let these numbnuts color my future in baseball

Move Sean McDonough over to TV. I am not sure we would ever be able to get up off the floor.

He's not giving up his ESPN gig to do full time PxP for the Sox.

He's going to be gone for at least a month right now for the Stanley Cup playoffs.
