If Reyes sucks, Valdez isn't the promotion IMO. Reyes is on the squad to field multiple positions. Valdez can only play 2B and he's awful there. They'd call up Hamilton or Romy Gonzalez.

So, he's more valuable than Refsnyder, right now. However, we are weaker vs LHPs, so I just don't see him as a fit for us, right now. And, I'm probably higher on his bat than many here.

Reese was dealing with an injury last year and his defense was disappointing. He was above average in '23 but slipped in '22. Wong had good pop times and a nice arm, but his framing is still bad.
