In my book we are officially done. The BP is gassed out. There’s no defense. There’s no fundamentals. There’s no rotation. There’s no good coaching nor management.

There’s nothing left. The saddest thing is that I don’t know where this team is going say for the next 2-3 years under this FO.

I see the foundation has improved.

I see less one year deal expiring.

I see more young players being called up and doing well.

I see more coming up this and next year and some really promising ones 2-3 years away.

I see way fewer holes to fill in 2024 than we've had since 2018 or 2019.

I see a chance our budget may expand in the next year or two, but that may just be wishful thinking.

It may all come up short.

It may all be a mirage, and the sucking will continue or even get worse.

I, for one, am optimistic about our future, and to me, we may be 2 key additions away from being a significant contender in 2024. It doesn't seem like you and many other agree, but that's life.

Well the new post season formula is not likely to go away. So all the teams are going to be stuck with these long stretches with no days off. So while the Boston talking heads have been whining about the schedule, I don't see how other teams don't face the same dilemma. That being that your BullPen stands a good chance of being gassed.

What Bloom you didn't see this coming?

The offseason changes were going to press on defenses OBVIOUSLY. Gee Bloom...did you miss that one too?

So you missed added pressure on pitching. You missed pressure on defenses. Was there anything you did see coming?

It's hard to fathom we have a higher BA with RISP than when not.

Isn't that expected? If there are no runners on base or in scoring position, that is at least in part because the pitcher is doing better than when the bases are full? Do you have any stats for that in general?

You're correct.

In the year 2023 the average MLB batter hits:

.720 with bases empty

.753 with men on base

.754 with RISP

all this team has is clean uniforms, nobody works with them on defense or fundamentals, whether anybody wants to admit it pitching management stinks and you want to wait 2-3 years for maybe competitive baseball, good luck
