Casas does have some serious issues that he needs to cure. Constant 3-2 counts, foul off a couple then take strike 3 on a borderline pitch. It's one thing to have a sharp batter's eye and the patience to wait for your pitch but at 2 strikes he needs to be swinging, even it just runs off 10 fouls.

Good observation. Yoshida had Vlad Jr out by 4' Carried the tag into the body , not the arm. But then Valdez is incompetent in the field. He does hit and run though

 

Blue Jay fielder appears to have made a similar mistake on Valdez's stolen base.

Disagree with both of you. The game has changed enough to encourage baserunners to vary how they touch the base, which of course is also bigger this year.

 

There are few routine tags these days for someone sliding into 2b. Plus that double was down the line in LF, which makes it very difficult to get a runner going to 2b.
