Guess we showed Hunter who is boss . Bloom was mentally applauding his decision to go with Tapia as a non roster invitee who proved out better than anyone he had named Duran in ST

Starting Duran in AAA was the right decision.

Thank you Rafi, it is time to get a win. Someone said Kenley just pulled up in his car and was seen entering the clubhouse for a uniform fitting

6 Ks tonight out of 7 official ABs ( 1 BB) from our 6-9 studs, whose combined BA's total .419. This is no sarcasm, just harsh reality. I can see Bloom's analytic staff poring over these incredible numbers and trying to find the trend line

I’m assuming people who actually work in the MLB and don’t post on forums aren’t freaking out over two weeks of stats. These guys aren’t going to bat .100 all year. There’s going to be regression to the mean.

Agreed, especially as another LH bat and a limited one at that.

I think you must be right because that group could not regress much more than they have.

So Cora calls Kenley from Kenley's place of residence?

Cora: "Hi, Kenley. We may be in a save situation here. Could you drive to the park just in case?"

Kenley: "No problem. As soon as I'm done watching this episode of SEINFELD."

Casas AB #3 : Takes strike 1 ; chases outside the zone and fouls away ; reaches further outside the zone for a pop to 3rd base side. Not exactly the same outcome as the prior 2 K s but very similar sequence. People who actually pitch ( or scout) in MLB have seen this guy and are eating him up with the same stuff and he has not adjusted. Fatse needs to tell him to swing at the first pitch strike to break the routine

He also made some adjustments that seem to be taken well. Let him have a little sustained success and sharpen it up.

I suspect we will see plenty of him this year

Give him time, he’s a rookie LHB facing a tough LHP. He hasn’t even had a half a season of at bats yet.

I think Casas will be fine. His approach is elite, he’s going to figure it out eventually.

Time out for a bulletin : This just in, Yu Changs has changed the dynamic of his OBP when he got hit by a pitch, in lieu of the conventional batter hitting the pitch . Chang's OBP and still same OPS is now .125 Edited by vegasbob

Having seen this incredible surge in offense, Connor Wong says, "I'll have the same, thanks"

Reaching on base by errors and hit by pitches; how long is this sustainable? At least until the ASB?

You mean there might be a team that's worse than us on D?

As mentioned a few times, I live about 50 miles from Anaheim and get all the Angels ( & Dodgers) local TV sports/radio, etc and can confirm to you that there has been a lot of press on the poor defense by the Angels

Hugh, what is your take on Winckowski trying to go beyond 2 innings. I'm sure he is physically capable but some relievers do not do well beyond 2.

My take on Winckowski is he's been pretty good so far this season. Also, he should continue to be referred to as Wink.

With all these clock violations and other violations the powers that be have changed MLB into a game show. I remember one game show that was actually called BEAT THE CLOCK.

Personally, I think these new rules are a joke.

I would have preferred robo chUMPS.

The only real difference between the Angels and the SOX is the Angels have 2 superstars and the SOX have one. The fact that Ohtani is a great hitter and a great pitcher, that might mean the Angels have 3 superstars.

So, if the Sox added 3 superstars they’d still

Suck?

What if they added Bogaerts, and Betts? Would they still suck?

Wink was a starter and has gone beyond 2 as a RP'er, twice.

He went 3 vs PIT this year (1ER)

Once, last year (3 ER)

Reading comprehension? Who said anything about sucking. Both teams are bad; just pointing out the superstar numbers.

I think his stuff plays up so much better in the pen. I like him as the long guy who gives you 1 too when you don’t need to overwork him.
