Radio guys ripping on the defense this inning. They have criticized Casas for his decision, Raffy for not cutting the ball off and Wong for not even bothering to go get the throw.

Also are still questioning removing Kluber.

Our dudes are the Keystone Kops on defense. Nice catch Arroyo. Devers, try holding onto the ball next time you get cut blocked

Kluber was cruising along, and only 67 pitches in. No need to go to the pen at that point who have been used a lot already. Schreiber threw lots of pitches too for 1 inn, and Ort is following suit.

This is Cora's 5th season managing and you're still surprised?

It’s not only who you’re playing but when you play them. Even bad teams have a couple weeks a year where everything goes their way.

I don’t think this is a good explanation of our suckness which goes beyond this series.

We have become a mediocre franchise which seems to go no where.

Not surprised at all. I guess Cora figured the BP hadn’t got enough work in yet.

This team needs luck such as McGuire's foul ball ruled fair, then foul ( then K'ed on a marginal pitch). They don't have lot more going for them right now

Have to remember the philosophy of some here. Must win every inning.

Well, that achievement would lead to 162-0 , would that be enough ? Only if they went on to sweep the World Series too.

If a team doesn't win the championship, everything else is for naught. Kind of like where the BRUINS are right now.

Oh, and winning the Stanley Cup is much more difficult than winning the WS.

This is looking more, and more like the circus from last year.

Exactly. These Sox just might have mastered the fine art of scoring and giving up runs in exactly the right proportion to lose.

They took 2 of 3 vs. the Orioles by scoring 9, 9, and 9 runs. Against the Pirates, their run total was 8 runs in 3 games. More precisely, in the first inning of this series the Sox scored 5 runs. In the next 8 + 9 + 9 = 26 innings they have scored 3 runs.

Right now it's hard to see a Sox strength. Lousy defense, so-so pitching, and now so-so hitting.

A nice defensive play to get out of a tough situation. Pirate runners did not help themselves . Started with fielding by Kelly and correct first move to get the ball to McGuire

6 games.

Ground ball DP . If observers do not see the uppercut swing to top the ball on his last several AB's , except when he K's . He may do well later after he sees a lot more pitching, but his current flaw is in his swing

The BP hasn't been too bad.
