It's natural to want to compare him to Suzuki, and in some ways it makes sense, but they are two different players.

 

Lot's of potential, here. He's only 29. (Turns 30 in July)

 

He might turn out better than Nimmo. No lost comp pick.

 

 

His OPS is still higher than Nimmo's right now.

Just give me a .380+ OBP and .460 SLG (due mostly to BA) and I'll call it a big win.

 

I'm thinking we might see .400/.480/.880 with a floor of maybe .360/.420/.780.

They should have spent a comp pick on Nimmo and then DFA'd him since his OPS is below 800 and has -5 DRS.

Raffy, and Story Land have been getting a lot more criticism especially on the game threads for their bats than Yoshida has. Another day off today for Masa, which makes it 3 in the last 5 games, so maybe he can get a second wind.
