Watched an interesting youtube video earlier regarding the top 10 players who have been snubbed from the MLB HOF. None of the ten were involved in the steroid controversy.

Schilling was on that list, along with Lou Whitacre, Fred McGriff, Andrew Jones, Todd Helton, Dick Allen, Scott Rolen, Billy Wagner and a couple more. McGriff was sited as the biggest snub.

If they could kick out the most undeserving 10, or better yet 20, I'd be fine putting them all in.

Another from the top ten was Keith Hernandez. Considered by many as the best defensive 1st baseman in the history of MLB.

Nolan Arenado ?? Are you just sticking him in to see if we read the post? News to ol' Nolan if he is in the HoF

Chase Anderson is a journeyman hack of a pitcher in the latter stage of his career. The Sox should take this game and sweep the short series, making the Splinter open the NYY 4 game series.

The HBP's vs the Red Sox are getting tiresome. Accidents for sure but still aggravating

Seabold bops Farmer in the 1st. No payback, just no grip on the ball

Connor K's the Cinn side to get his ERA below 11.00 as predicted by Splendid

Of course, none of those guys was as good, nor as influential, nor as famous as Bonds, Clemens, even Rose (whom I detest). If the HoF means anything, then put the best players in. (Also, maybe stop pretending Judge is chasing the HR record. He's not. He's chasing the YANKEE HR record. Do we really care about that?)

Everyone has an opinion. As for Bonds and Clemens, I detest both. Btw, how come you didn't mention A-rod, whom I also detest?

Judge is chasing the American League HR record. It’s not as impressive; but it is something…

I’d put Dwight Evans and Bobby Grich in ahead of most of them…

Story has become a heel issue. Glad it's not his back.

If he returns for the remaining 14 games , he will have played right at 2/3rds of the schedule, 108 games. Bogaerts will likely get into 150+ barring a late injury. Devers will play about 140+ games. Kike will make about 90+

If Kike and Story play in 2023, they will need to show up in many more games than they got into this year. So will Chris Sale

The SOX have gotten 12 games from Hosmer since the TDL.

4 innings of a 1-1 pitchers duel between Chase and Connor. Says a lot about all the batters present at Great American ballpark.

Assuming Hosmer heals over the winter , and unless Casas goes on a tear the last few weeks here, I can see the scenario where Eric starts the2023 season, maybe with our old friend Dalbec, while Casas shows he can hit consistently for a month or so in Worcester.

I'm sure Hosmer and Dalbec will be fully available as part of trade deals over the winter , so only Bloom knows how much trust he will put in Casas to carry the load out of ST, if necessary.

I do think they need to let Casas just keep playing here regardless of any production. To sit him would be pointless . He needs the reps even if it looks discouraging. Maybe JDM will lend him a spare video player to look at over the winter.

Going to jump the gun and say that Seabold should be done after 5. He is fraying around the edges on an otherwise good effort

There it goes. He can now only qualify for the loss. Another case of 2 out pitching and 2 out walks

Seabold cannot get the 3rd strike or 3rd out. Jams the hitter and gets a bloop over Hernandez. Reminder that the inning started on a grounder the snuck below Devers glove as he ranged hard to his left.

Not sure I have had the pleasure of seeing a 5 inning pitcher with 4 WPs. From his appearances this year and inability to go long, Seabold may not have much of a future with the Red Sox, if Bloom upgrades the pitching for 2023.

Had he recorded the 3rd out before allowing 3 runs , he would have been in the 8's which would have earned him an invite to Ft. Myers in '23. Not sure I can help him now.

No one apparently has told Casas that a K is superior to a DP from a team production POV. This isn't just a slump . If not for his Cole HR he would be a total loss so far. Not to say he won't be the second coming of Travis Shaw next year.
