I guess they could give him a bumped up offer and get him to agree to come back for a final chance to match, but you may be right. It's today or never for Bogey & the Sox.

My question is, what do they do with "Bogey's money," if he bolts?

Andrus and a DH?

Andrus and Conforto will not match Bogey's AAV and certainly not years- even if combined.

They're going really cheap and bringing Pillar back for the defense in RF.

If the reports are true that Xander was going to go around get a bunch of offers from other teams and take them back to Boston then this could be this.

If Bloom is true to his word I think it gets done today. Bogaerts will be signing an extension today and we may hear about it any minute.

That's great, Bogey and Jensen in a day. The bullpen will be miles better next year. They could really use an outfielder and another starter.

I wish we could pull the thread with our Originally Bogey predictions from months ago, but I believe mine was 8/217

Based on what players have been signing for, that would be a good deal for the Sox to be honest

I don't think we ever had a poll thread on Bogey's contract. I think comments have been scattered between a number of threads.

I initially said $150-160/6, but then went to $170/6. Now, I might go $194/7 or even $212/8

Need a power bat now. The power numbers were awful last year

Ninth is RS, ninth in SLG. But 21st in HR.

Eric Hosmer should not be the DH…

$150/6 was all from way back when Trea Turner wasn’t going to get paid $300mill between now and his 40th birthday…

Since they mentioned 8-9 players added (maybe they counted Kike and those already signed), it makes sense they may sign a DH (maybe Brantly, Carpenter or Mancini?)

Indeed, but I view that signing almost like Seager's, last year.

I'm still a 7 year guy. If the Sox pull the trigger on an 8th year I won't BUZZARD.

If they had signed Abreu, Hosmer would have been traded/DFA'd. If they find a decent RHB for backup 1B, that's what will happen.

Word is we are shopping Dalbec, so maybe we look for a RH'd DH + any 1 or more from 1B/LF/RF type?

You have to think Hosmer/Dalbec are redundant on this team right now. I wouldn’t mind seeing Dalbec start the season in AAA and give him reps at 3B/LF and see if he can be a right handed corner bench bat.

Dalbec and Duran for Garret Cooper?

Rafaela, Dalbec & Duran for Keller (PIT)?

Dalbec or Hosmer for Winker?

We know he can play 3b. I'd just stick him in the OF for an extended period of time. Now watch him pick it up quicker than Duran...

“Quicker than Duran” just means “in less than 4 years” in this case.

Really it’s 4 years and counting…

Nimmo is off the board. Staying with the Mets forthe next 8 years for $162mill.

My 7/160 wasn’t too far off

David Robertson, too at $10M x 1.
