K. Crawford vs C.Javier

I've been impressed so far with the stuff I've seen Kutter possess on the mound. He'll be tested tonight, but I wish him well.

Before Jefferson this board only suffered from crickets, now we've got a cockroach infestation.

Those crickets were mainly between your ears....

Best not to give him even that much acknowledgement. Ignore works very well; so long as you're logged in, you don't even see his wittiness. Have to be logged in though.

I don't like using ignore, but some posters, who add nothing to the conversation, have earned it.

Any word if mcguire will be in the lineup tonight to handle the sox staff?

You really are "GETTING OFF" on this aspect of the McGuire deal.

The only comment I have for McGuire is "you could have picked a Nordstrom's or even a Dillards.....a Dollar Store????????"

Cordero sent down; Refsnyder to the IL (knee sprain which might explain some of his inaction lately, but who can say for sure).

Davis stays.

Hosmer will join the club in KC on Thursday.

Probably had to make sure Pham got there.

Btw, Illinois, I highly recommend a youtube video titled MR BASEBALL BOB UECKER. It's extremely funny and gives another perspective on this game we all love.

That seems appropriate.

Does the non-moves on JDM and Eovaldi say more about their desirability to a contender, or more about Bloom's requirement for a better payoff ? They can still be moved via waiver but it's more messy than an outright trade. My concern remains that although this team could actually get back into the WC race, the weight of evidence to date still says no, and not competitive for a championship. I think they should have been moved, still respecting their contributions, same as Vazquez

It seems like Bloom was convinced the Mets would take JD, but the Mets went elsewhere and no other team was willing to offer much. As for EO, I have no clue.

I have no idea what the Sox were trying to accomplish at the trade deadline. They weren't sellers and they weren't buyers. The Vazquez trade doesn't make much sense with JDM, Nate, Hill, Wacha still on the team. They could have got a first baseman a long time ago.

Rafi knows he can't hit that pitch. That is why he is mad at himself.

Funny....Ortiz could not hit it either. Just have to learn to lay off of it.
