Crawford v Rasmussen

Maybe the biggest game of the year, to date. (Certainly, this is debatable.)

The one game at a time thing has not been working very well against the Rays LOL

Trying a past mojo is worth an effort.

Last night Winckowski actually had a quality start. Crawford has pitched well lately.

The lineup is what's screwed up--at bat, in the field, and on the basepaths. They look weak on the fundamentals.

Ignoring his first start jitters against BAL:

6 GS

3.71 ERA

5.2 IP/S

1.29 WHIP

The only bad start out of the 6 was against NYY. He's been fine for a guy still getting his feet wet.

Crawford, last 2 games:

.481 OPS Against

Wink has struggled his last 2 games, but take away his first start and he is:

34 IP

33 H

14 ER (3.71 ERA)

11 BB

22 K

.701 OPS Against

3.93 FIP

J.D. and Bogie both blown away on fastballs.

Zander still struggling in RBI situations , with only 5 RBIs in his last 7 games, and 10 in his last 30 games.

I believe the SOX will win tonight. Sweeping 4 games from any team, mediocre or bad, is very difficult.

I wish I was as optimistic.

This (not bringing in runners in scoring position) is getting really old. Two all stars can’t even make contact

JD made contact, just not fair balls. He at least put up a fight, stretching the AB to 10 pitches.

Bogey looked overmatched.

As I said last night, the Rays could pull 9 fans out of the stands to play and the Red Sox would struggle to beat them at Tampa.

Not sure what you’re trying to say here. 5 RBIs in 7 games pace extrapolates to 115 for the season. We’d take that.

OTOH, 10 in 30 is 54 RBI pace. That is pathetic for a cleanup hitter.

30 is a larger sample size, obviously. It’s more indicative of his performance.

So true. I can’t tell if he’s got some nagging little injury or is distracted by his contract issues or what. He so stoic you just can’t tell.

He’s on a pace to have 68 RBIs as our cleanup hitter this year

That’s not going to cut it
