I wouldn’t call it suckitude. He’s pitched better, but he did throw 17 strikes out of 19 pitches. Struck out the first guy, then gave up a hard single that actually made the outfield. Pinch runner stole second but probably would have been out had a Bogaerts bothered to catch the throw. Hauvk struck out the next guy, then the wild pitch, followed by a solid single to left center, then struck out the last batter to end the inning.

Not sharp, but not horrible.

Pitching was definitely not the issue tonight.

Offense especially and defense were problems tonight

Is he supposed to kidnap them?

That you said “signed Josh Bell” actually takes credibility away from you.

It’s ok to be frustrated. But there’s no need to be ignorant about this stuff…

...and to think idiot Bloom could have traded Wink & Duran for Bell last month!

The Nation is getting restless. The power guys are slumping, losing to a lesser bunch , a GM whose only purpose is to trade stars for prospects and a manager who lets cheap, ineffective relievers own him due to language compatibility. It has come to a sorry mess

with no way out. Why field a team tomorrow when a forfeit would give all 26 a rest day.

Just got back to my hotel. Wrigley is a special place. Felt so surreal getting off the subway, turning the corner and finally seeing the Marquee in person after all these years. Then the walk up the concourse to get my first look of the field. Singing Go Cubs Go like I've lived in Chicago my entire life. Will never forget this night.

Have a ticket for tomorrow but might skip. I'm content with my experience.

Chicago is a pretty cool city.

Who says they are a lesser bunch?

You mean the Cubs? Their W-L record, I would assume.

One could argue that the sox record is inflated due to their creampuff schedule over the last month or so. But you are what your record says you are.
