Coming up in the 9th: Refsnyder, Duran, and Devers. All of them hit well in June and all of them have hits in this game (Duran has 2).

Chaim is smiling trust me .Bogey will be traded just after the Yankee series

Coming into this game Sawamura--surprise, surprise--had the 4th best WAR, +.4, in the bullpen and a June ERA of 2.16. He's been coming back from his earlier struggles.

Bloom, get off your ass, and get some quality help for this bullpen.

Earth to MOON. Please start tomorrow's game thread. We need another 7 game winning streak.

I don’t think Moon starting a game thread has anything to do with a winning streak.

Bringing in Robles to pitch in this game is all on Cora. Robles shouldn’t be on the team to begin with, but because he is should be the very last option. Way to go Cora.

Robles had some help. Hill gave up the first 3 runs with Danish's help. Then Robles the next three runs with Diekman's help.

The Cubs helped the Sox get their big 3 run rally in the 2d with the that error and walk before JBJ's double.

And the Sox lineup helped the Cubs by getting 1 stinking run in the final 7 innings. Devers, JDM, and Bogey barely showed up. Vazquez and the 3d base coach squandered an out.

The MAIN POINT is that Robles should be the very last option to pitch on this team not the ist, or second which Cora did today. Of course Robles shouldn’t be on the team to begin with. Both Cora, and Bloom are to blame.

Robles must be Cora's cousin because he loves him, absolutely useless and this team is getting annoying.

Bogey is not producing runs in the clean up spot.

He has 1 HR since May 16th and his last RBI was June 16th !

Cora clearly hates Red Sox Nation. All of us. He hates us all with a passion.

My evidence is how often he lets Robles pitch…

Just landed at O'Hare. Not a great look today, but that's just because I wasn't there. We'll win the next 2! Sox are yet to lose in 2022 when I am in attendance

Well said, and Bloom as well for not releasing him.

That's what tells us he actually hates Bloom.

Cora is very smart: as the front office skimps and saves but still forces bodies on him, he gets revenge by intentionally using those recruits over and over. By exposing their flaws and lack of talent, he also exposes the disingenuous front office, which refuses to pay the costs of adding actual quality.

Again, the Sox still have the sixth highest payroll in MLB. What’s his complaint? That anything below top five is basically the Pirates?!??

Just because they didn’t spend that money where you wanted it spent doesn’t mean it doesn’t count. If you don’t like the Sox current payroll situation, a lot of that is on the guy who ran up the quarter billion dollar bar tab…

You don’t miss much. Cora lobbed his Bullpen Grenade Crew into action…

Robles was handed a pathetically easy situation today. Protect a 2 run lead by getting 3 outs from the 7-8-9 hitters from one of, if not the worst lineups in MLB today. Outside of mop up work, that’s one of the easiest assignments a pitcher can get.

And two outs later, Robles was removed from a tie game with the bases loaded.

He’s just not an MLB pitcher right now…

Spare me the automatic payroll reply. We're way past that here, because we all know part of the "cost" of improving the roster is to trade prospects to make necessary upgrades.

The Red Sox supposedly have a wealth of pitching prospects on the fringe of being MLB-ready. If they're not going to promote some of them now -- before 17 straight games vs. Tampa, New York and Toronto -- then Bloom has to think about parting with a few to recruit a few legitimate relief arms.
