I was defending 96 RBI. I don’t think Kike ever did that.

You crack me up.

I was never defending Kike's .240 BA, I was defending his great D and heroic playoff and second half 2021 offensive numbers.

I don't think Renfroe ever played great D or had heroic moments in the playoffs.

Can you stay focused on what points others are actually making, instead of inventing things we are not defending.

Fine. You think Renfroe's RBI totals outweigh his poor and defense. (Yet, you don't praise Story for his RVBI totals- interesting.)

I think Kike's defense and slugging abilities outweigh his .240 career BA. Just stop lying about what I'm defending.

BTW, Kike had more RBIs (9) in the 2021 playoffs than Renfroe has in 7 career playoff series (8).

Career playoff lines

Kike .269 13 27 in 194 PAs

Renfroe .186 2 8 in 67 PAs

Any time I can pick on Kike I do it just to watch you go into a tizzy, and go off on a tangent. Works every time. Hilarious!

A clear example of trolling. I’m glad you finally admitted it.

I just go with the flow. If you say I’m a DISDAINER then I’m a disdainer, and so on, and so on, and off on a tangent you go, and where you stop no one knows, or cares for that matter. Que sera sera.I’m so many different things to you it is hard to keep up on knowing who I am supposed to be. A hater, a DISDAINER, a troll, and I’ve forgotten some, because there has been so many.

Back to the bullpen.

With Houck and Whitlock back, plus Schreiber, Davis, Dieckman, and Sawamura, I have more confidence in them right now than the lineup which has stopped hitting and fielding. Decent rotation, but riddled with injuries--Sale, Eovaldi, and Hill.

Now, Strahm is looking shaky. That’s why we keep as many options available as possible.

Not what you are supposed to be. Not tangents.

Truth and pertinent.

After all this time you still haven’t figured out that once again when you kept trying to come up with the answers I had already changed the question again, but keep on trying, because one of these days you might just get it.

Maybe you’ll figure out people don’t want to “get” trolls & illogical rankings.

You always take a deep dive when most of the time there is only two feet of water, and see things that aren’t there, and don’t see things that are. That is quite a talent.

I think I speak for a lot of posters here; can you two take your mongoose and cobra act somewhere else? You are not adding anything to threads in your back and forth pissing contests.

moongoose and Old Red Cobra?

The Mongoose is one of the very few animals that hunts and kills Cobras.

Mongoose? More like Mother Goose. Quite harmless.

I found this on Wiki

Without Mother Goose, [Old Red] runs the risk of being forever a babe in the woods, deprived of the touchstones that help to form the habit of knowledge. Without these indispensable [posts]Old Red] may never acquire appropriate appetite or aptitude for works that plumb the depths of reality.

Back to the bullpen. Yesterday it was fantastic, and, except for that awful 6th inning of game 1, was pretty good in Chicago.

When Whitlock returns (a week?), Cora will have Schreiber, Davis, Houck, Whitlock, Diekman, Sawamura, Crawford, and some combination of Danish, Strahm, Valdez, et al. If Winckowski stays in the rotation, Hill could join the bullpen once Sale, Eovaldi, and Wacha have returned--and all are due back before Hill.

I hope they keep Wink in the rotation, assuming he continues doing well, until the IL starters return.

His sample size is only 26 IP, but he was tearing it up in AAA, too (.532 OPS Against)

Wink has a 134 ERA+, so far, and after his shaky first start, he has these numbers his last 4 starts:

3-1 1.96 (.623 OPS Against)

15 K

4 BB

23 Hits

23 IP

(2.33 FIP)

Anyone still miss a leftfield only Beni?

Yes it’s a small sample size, but so far so good on Wink. Let’s see how maybe a couple of games against the Yankees go, before we anoint him the next big thing.

It will be interesting to see if Frail is brought back next week to face the Rays, and Yankees, or is babied back like last year, which will have an effect on the rest of the rotation, and possibly Wink.

You don't need to be a big thing to be worth more than 3 months of Beni.

Had nothing to do with Beni on your mind, and I’m just saying pump the brakes a little on Wink, and let’s see how the next few weeks go.

I don't have my foot on the gas. I just stated what he's done in a small sample size and said, if he continues doing well, he'll stay in the rotation.

Why is hitting the brakes needed on anything I said or implied?

(Rhetorical question- don't answer.)

Once again seeing things that aren’t there, or not seeing things that are there. Why don’t you go work on one of your BTV trades that NEVER happens.

Did you or did you not tell me to "pump the brakes a little?" Pump the brakes on what?

Does that have some unknown special meaning only to you?

I hesitate to use the word "clarification."

You can pick on BTV, and even if the exact trades don’t happen, the majority of real trades in MLB do work in their model. It’s a pretty good guesstimator of actual player value…

The guy seriously has no life, I mean, he was on vacation and was still posting on here 24/7 instead of actually enjoying his vacation. Pretty sad actually.

We missed a chance to gain on several teams, last night, but we are still sitting in the #1 WC slot.

45-36 BOS +1.5

44-37 TBR +0.5

44-38 TOR -0.0

40-39 CLE -2.5

Come September I’ll scoreboard watch, but it’s to early for me to do that now.
